Pumpkin Cheese Bread II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
This was a great recipe. I took it to a Thanksgiving lunch at work (where you know your cooking will be critiqued) and it was terrific. I had a little trouble telling if I had split the batter evenly between the cream cheese so the cheese ended up really close to the top of the loaf. It didn't make any difference in the taste!

The Ultimate Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
Very good. Not a lot of fuss. Just good ol' chili. I also omitted the vinager, but kept the wine. I think the wine gave it that little something extra. I also added onion and garlic, which I cooked the meat in (I used ground turkey). Next time, I will add more garlic directly to the pot. I will be making this chili again, probably for my next football party.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2004
This is a great recipe to make on an "off night". I made this with what I happen to have in the kitchen, which was salmon instead of chicken, and it was really good. Very quick and easy and gave the salmon a little different taste. I am really pleased with this recipe. I want to try it with chicken too.

Oven Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2004
This was very good. I didn't know what to expect, but it came out very good. Per other reviews, I took out 1 egg and used much less butter. I also added some vanilla extract and some brown sugar. I just like that combo in breakfast foods. It was pretty sweet, especially with added syrup. But my husband, who has a big sweet tooth loved it. So it passes with flying colors.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2005
This was good and very easy. I left out the green pepper because I didn't have it on hand. I found that there was a taste element missing, but I don't think that the green pepper was it. I still haven't decided what would be the right thing to add. Also, the sauce was very watery. I was hoping for something a little thicker. It is good in a pinch.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2005
You can't get easier than this and the taste is unreal. You couldn't get more peanut butter taste if you ate it straight from the jar! I love how it is gooey in the middle. They are perfect! Thanks!

Orange Cinnamon Sticks

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
This was a very easy and quick recipe. The orange flavor didn't come out as much as I had hoped. Probably would have if the orange juice or zest was mixed into the dough plus added in the topping. But that's the trade off when you use a prepared breadstick instead of making your own. Still, the fact that it was low fuss makes it one I will use again.

Glazed Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
I thought that the sweetness would come out more in this recipe. It had an interesting taste. One that made you want to eat more just to figure out if you liked it or not. I will not be making this again because I needed it for a Christmas party and these are not good enough to take to a party. I will look for more of a "sugared nuts" recipe.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2006
This was FANTASTIC! I made it for a tapas dinner party and it went over famously. I followed the advice of others and used gingerale in place of the club soda. Very addictive! Makes for a good party! Thank you!!!
