About this Cook
I am an RN originally from Montreal, Qubec and moved to Florida in 1993 on a one-year working visa. I met my husband within three days of my move and have been here ever since.
My favorite things to cook
Since I'm a workaholic I don't have time to whip-up elaborate meals during the week. I like quick, easy healthy meals.
My cooking tragedies
I once made Chili Con Carne and accidently added ground gloves instead of Chili powder. Yuck!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan
"This is just out of this world!," remarks from my husband. Not sure if it's because I substituted the parmesan cheese with Tête de Moine (Monk Head) cheese, but this was awesome.

Braised Balsamic Chicken
I'm giving this recipe 3 star or 6/10 because the chicken, although was very tender did not absorb any of the flavor from the sauce. The chicken was actually pretty bland. Not something I will make again.

Hot and Sour Tofu Soup (Suan La Dofu Tang)
Wow! This was very good. I rate this a 4 star because of its simplicity. I liked how the cabbage was still "crunchy" and not overdone. I was looking for a low calorie low fat soup and this did the trick. I used low fat firm tofu and fat free chicken stock b/c I didn't have vegetable broth on hand and turned out great!
