Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
This tasted very good, but it stayed sticky and didn't firm up the way I expected it too. Could have been beacuse of the Tennessee humidity...

This was a good soup, but mine came out too salty.

Impossible Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
This was a very good pumpkin "pie". I used all lactose free products since my sister is lactose intolerant. It didn't really make a crust, but it was wonderful.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I can't give this recipe 5 stars because I changed it slightly. I only used one can of tomato sauce and used fresh herbs. I used brown rice (it's what I had on hand). I used a covered casserole dish (so I wouldn't have to baste the peppers). They came out wonderful!!! Thanks for the start to a great recipe.

Italian Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I love these cookies, they remind me of my childhood! I used lemon extract in the cookies and the glaze the first time I made them, next time I am going to use almond since that is the flavor I grew up with. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
This cake is wonderful. My sister is pregnant and lactose intolerant, but she was craving a good chocolate cake when I stumbled upon this one. I made it without the pudding and used a soy based sour cream (lactose free). I also used a combination of starbucks coffee liquor and Creme de Cocoa liquor. I used Andes mint chips instead of chocolate chips. It came out wonderful, rich and moist!!! This is my best new chocolate cake recipe, and I can't wait to make it with the regular ingredients to compare to the lactose free version!
