Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Yum! The only thing I changed was omitted the onion because I don't like them, and I used a red pepper instead of green because that is what I had. This was a big hit! My new favorite chili recipe.

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I like to start with the recipes as written, then modify it the next time I make it. We did enjoy this, but it was a little bland. Next time I will add some spinach and some garlic for added flavor and health benefits to boot!

Lentils with Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
It was okay, but nothing fabulous. I did add garlic, carrots and cumin for more flavor and that probably helped. I'll probably make it again since I want to start eating more lentils.

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
This is awesome! I made two batches, one with nuts, and one with peanut butter added. Both are great, but I am in love with the peanut butter version. I did it on the stove because I didn't have a big enough microwave safe bowl.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
This was wonderful. We loved the different flavors all combined. My 20 month old scarfed it down before I even sat down at the table and he kept wanting more! My 4 yr old daughter liked it too but my 7 yr old son didn't, only because he doesn't like nuts. This is a keeper recipe!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
My husband & I thought this was boring. I added more cheese, and left out the onion because I don't like onions. My kids didn't like it, and they are not picky eaters.

Salmon and Spinach Fettuccine

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
This is now a favorite of my entire family! My kids LOVED it and my 6 year old son wants it for his special birthday dinner. I left out the capers because I don't like them.

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: May 19, 2005
Took too much work and it wasn't worth it in the end. My two little ones are not picky eaters, but they both through this in the trash.

Creamiest Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
Out of 9 people, only one person liked it. I don't like rice pudding, but I guess it was good for those that do like rice pudding.

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
I think the Nestle Hot Chocolate is better. It's fairly bland and I even added extra chocoloate to it. I like my cocoa very rich.

Leftover Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
This is super easy to make! I used turkey and since I didn't have cream of chicken, I used cream of celery. I didn't have mixed vegetables, so I used a can of corn. My family liked it. I'll be making it more just because it's super easy and tastes pretty good.

Party Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2004
Everyone liked it. I didn't really know what to make with it so I just put the sausage on a bed of rice and had a side of corn. I think I could have used less ketchup and jelly. Next time I also think I'll add some pineapple and yellow peppers.
