Was not in the mood for another ham sandwich, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this recipe on the main page. With less than $5, i was able to transform leftover ham into a nice pasta dish for four. I did exact recipe and giving it a 4 as is...then later added sauteed mushroom and pepper. Cream of mushroom w/ roasted garlic was on sale, so I used that. Next time I would like to use cream or half and half and maybe parm reggiano, for another twist to this nice base dish. Served with toast spread with homemade roasted garlic butter. In the category for easy peasy and done in a jiffy, this get's a 5.

Tasty Buns

3.25 stars for taste and texture. a little to yeasty for me and a bit dense for hamburgers. I made mine into longer buns for tortas and grilled them with some butter. My boys said they were good. 4 Stars for ease. I'm new to bread making, a total amateur...that could've contributed to texture issues. TFS

Mom's Great Green Beans

The Wrchr sauce was a bit much for me, but my son loved it and ate most of it. I only had frozen french cut beans, so maybe if i had used the canned, the flavor would've been different for me. But great in a pinch.

Easy Popcorn Balls

In terms of ease I say a 4 and flavor i would say 3.5 I was able to make 40 in about 45 mins in two seperate batches. I used other suggestions and added vanilla and popped 3/4 air popped pocorn all together. This way they weren't too sweet or gummy. Also added food coloring to make orange. Made these in the morning before work to pass out to the daycare costume parade and will probably use again for son's Harvest Party. TFS

Homemade Flour Tortillas

the flavor was good and the texture was almost right. Keeping in mind I've only tried making tortillas once before with no success, so it just may be my technique. My result of this recipe was a little dry and not very pliable. They didn't bubble. but again it could just be me. Hope you have better luck. I'm going to be testing different recipes until I can come as close to my mom's tortillas as I can.

Queenie's Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich

I'm giving this a 5 because I know it would've been a 5 if I had some fresh basil here at work. I did have cucumber and that was a nice fresh addition. Great for a lite meal with no fuss. Can't wait to try again with a red onion or fresh basil. TFS

Grilled Corn on the Cob

This worked fine for last minute corn on the grill. i do prefer to soak first, but didnt' have time and it was fine. I grilled first with just husks and then covered with foil the next 20 mins after husks started burning. Mostly on this recipe to get grill time. Thanks for submitting.

Blueberry Sauce

Easy Whipped Cream

this was easy. my whipping cream didn't seem to peak until I added the sugar. Once I added the sugar, it whipped right up. My husband said it wasn't sweet enough. I didn't mind since we were using with crepes and used Blueberry Sauce submitted by ISYBEL and that was already sweet. I would give this 4.5 since it could be a little sweeter.

Tartar Sauce II

I love this tartar sauce. I didn't have time to boil an egg, so I left that out. I really loved the authentic flavor and I won't be buying jar sauce anymore. I'm really trying to eat as much homemade food as possible. I even used this with hand made mayo (ala Julia Childs).

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Went with reviewers tips and used 3 1/4 c King Arthur W/W white flour and added 2 tsp pizza seasonings I found at my local Winco store (think it has traditional italian seasonings with pepper flakes). I've never baked with yeast and so this is my first attempt. I was very pleased with results and also ease of directions. I made 4 individual pizzas 2 pepperoni, 1 cheese, and 1 BBQ chicken. Big hit with the family and healthy too. can't wait to try again with other topping combinations, using honey, and freezing.

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Followed recipe to a T and I was very happy with texture, flavor, and ease of recipe. I grilled some chicken with seasoned with salt, pepper, and a little cayenne and the family said it tasted better than restaurant dish.
