Old Time Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2015
So much better than using canned soup. I used a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket and this was delicious. We all over it. Made it several hours ahead and just finished before eating. Will definitely do again

Seafood Linguine

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2015
After reading the reviews I made some changes. I sautéed garlic and veggie in olive oil. I made the white sauce in a separate pan. Added my frozen seafood to the white sauce to cook. Added basil, celery salt, parsley, pinch of cayenne, and s&p. Spooned sauce over the pasta added parmasea. It was a yum. Thanks to all for their input and to Skehler What a great team we make.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2015
This was a yum! Followed the recipe except for using clam broth instead of water. I am my own worst critic and I loved this. I used chopped clams canned and fresh and small canned baby clams. Pioneer girl's best clam chowder is my best clam chowder too. This was so fun!

Chicken Tetrazzini IV

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
Have made this a couple of times and I just love it. I did double the sauce and made it with penne tonight. The sherry adds a nice crisp flavor. Fresh mushrooms are a must. Who wouldn't love this!

Vegetarian Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2014
This was so good. Did not have cauliflower so I used what I had in the house. Celery, avocado, cranraisins, slivered almonds, red pepper, and of course the broccoli, purple onion and the delicious dressing. I think you can add anything and it will be delicious. My guests loved it.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was really good. I used boneless chicken thighs because that is what I had and it was delicious. Just spicy enough. Easy to put together and I had all the ingredients. What more can you ask for!

Traditional White Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2014
I have made this several times. It is easy and comes out light and delicious. I use my kitchen Aide mixer and it is so easy. I bake on a stone baking sheet. Maybe that's why it is so good. Sometimes I add spices like rosemary or dill. It keeps for several days too.

Spinach and Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2014
This was really good. Easy and makes a nice side dish. I don't care for balsamic vinegar so I used tarragon vinegar and a little less than called for. It was a nice change from a tossed salad. Try it you'll love it

Eggplant Parmesan Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2014
This was a yum. I did use half the bread crumbs but everything else was according to chef John. I did use my own eggplant which made it even better. Can't wait to make it again.

Scallops and Spinach over Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
This was delicious. After reading the reviews, I sautéed garlic, onions and mushrooms in olive oil. Added drained spinach, then added 2tblsp butter and some white wine. Then scallops for 3minutes. Then some splicers that I like. Served over linguini with Parmesan. My mother in law cleaned her plate. This is good. Make it your own. So good.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2014
This was outstanding! I always read the reviews before I try a recipe. I did double the spices and I cut the large chicken breasts in half and the pounded them slightly. I used crushed garlic instead of the garlic powder and added minced onion and jalapeño pepper in the last five minutes. All suggestions in the reviews. It is a yum. Tender, moist and snappy.
