Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2014
It can be eaten after 8 hours. I tasted it after 8 hours and it was good. I cooked it for the full 22 hours before I served it to my family. It fell apart (almost crumbled) after the 22 hours. My husband and son loved it and said they would like for me to make it again. It's a keeper.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2014
These are good, dry cookies. Dry is not a bad thing, I'm just stating it in case you are looking for a moist cookie recipe - this is not it. They also crumble easily, so they are not ideal for shipping. The combination of oats, peanut butter and chocolate chips is yummy.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2014
This was good but I gave it four stars instead of five because it was bland. I recommend adding salt and pepper to the ground beef and potatoes for additional flavor.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2014
This is great! I sprinkled the Cajun seasoning directly on the chicken (because I'm too lazy to put it in the bag) and it worked well. It was very good as is, but I prefer stronger flavors, so I added more Cajun seasoning to the sauce for my personal preference. Next time I will add one minced garlic clove for more flavor.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2014
This was the best banana bread recipe I've ever had. It was moist and delicious. Dusting the pan with the cinnamon and sugar gave it a nice touch. It was a big hit at my ladies' Bible study class. I don't need to search for any other banana bread recipes. It's a keeper.

This is good for a snack or light lunch. I used mustard on the side for dipping.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2014
This was a tasty dish. The beef sirloin was so tender that it almost fell apart. If you like your bell peppers with a little crunch, I recommend adding them about one hour before the end of cook time. I served it over a bed of white rice. I like spicy dishes, so next time I plan to add about one-half sliced jalapeño or a tsp. crushed peppers.

Roasted Chicken Salad Bites

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
This was great. I used a store bought rotisserie chicken so that I wouldn't heat up the house on a hot summer day. It was very convenient. This was easy to make and delicious. I recommend it.

Mediterranean Pasta

Reviewed: May 30, 2014
This was great. I added one minced garlic clove before simmering, otherwise stuck to the recipe. It was even better the next day for leftovers because the pasta absorbed more of the flavor.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
Great cookies! I made them a little larger and baked them for 12 minutes. They were puffy, round and chewy - exactly what I wanted. Easy to make.

Baked Flan

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
This was great tasting flan. However, I had to adjust the bake time. I had to bake it for about 1 hour 20 minutes. It still didn't appear to be set so I allowed it to cool and put it in the refrigerator over night. The following morning it was set and great tasting. I'm going to try it again and try baking it in two 9 inch glass pie plates in an attempt to fix the baking problem. Also, many other reviews were right, it's too much liquid for the blender. It spilled over. I'll try using the mixer in a bowl next time.

Good recipe for a quick, easy meal. It was a little salty to me, but I still enjoyed it.

Manicotti

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2014
This is a great base recipe. I made it as directed and it was good. However, I prefer more flavor, so next time I will add garlic salt and maybe some Italian sausage. I put the filling in a ziplock bag like others suggested, and it made filling the manicotti WAY easier. Also, I recommend under cooking the manicotti so that it doesn't fall apart when you fill it. It will cook all the way through when you put it in the oven.

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
Simple and delicious. I made it as directed. I saw other recipes that were similar but included minced garlic. I think I will try that next time just to give it a little more flavor, but it is good as is.

Cabbage and Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
This is very good. I drained half the bacon grease because it's a lot of grease. HOWEVER, I regretted it later! Next time I will leave all the grease. It's definitely not a recipe for someone watching their weight, but it is GOOOOOOD. I plan to make this again.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
Good stuff! I only used the sauce that it calls for on the chicken. I did not use the other half to be served with it. It was too overpowering for my personal taste. Next time I will only make half of the sauce. I will definitely make this again.
