About this Cook
I'm probably one of the most unusual kitchen dwellers you'll ever know. By day, I'm working on contaminated sites. When I'm not working, I'm likely cheering on my favourite NHL team, the San Jose Sharks. Somehow in the mix of my bizarre lifestyle, the kitchen is my relaxing place. Cooking and baking have become a hobby for me - more so the last few years. My mom says I didn't get to be great from her. But she doesn't realize she needs to take credit as I started out mainly baking because she always let me help out with making holiday treats and assisted me with school bake sales. It all starts somewhere. Check out my new cooking site:
My favorite things to cook
- omelettes (I get quite creative) - cheesecake, it's what I do best - pad thai - any way to cook up chicken or salmon, you name it I'm on it
My favorite family cooking traditions
I help my dad cook the turkey when I am home for Christmas, I usually bake a dessert for holiday meals or s starter dish. My butternut squash soup with Fontina cheese Fontina has been my biggest hit!
My cooking triumphs
Everything I make I consider a triumph, especially if the first time turns out spectacular. Nothing can be a total failure, it's all a learning curve
My cooking tragedies
That one time I made chocolate chip cookies with too much salt... didn't think accidentally adding more would be an issue...bleh.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Grilled cheese has always been my lazy day yummy meal! I basically just searched this so I could share this with you - Fontina cheese, sliced jalapeƱos and garlic powder. Try it!

Campbell's Kitchen Chicken Broccoli Divan
I highly recommend this recipe to anyone! It's simple, quick and tastes great. I have made this as is but I've found I've made it better by adding 1 tsp of garlic and curry powder to the chicken when cooking it. I also use extra bread crumbs and cream lf mushroom soup instead.

Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata
I would give this recipe 5 stars but I ever so slightly changed it up a bit so I could make it with what I had at home. I turned into into a baked frittata using most of these ingredients. I don't have an oven-safe skillet.
