Blackberry Pie I

My berries were wild, so I added 1/4 cup additional sugar. The taste of this pie was great; however, it was not very attractive. The berries did not juice with the sugar and flour, so the cut pie looks like blackberries in a white filling. I will make it again because the taste is great, but, I'll mash some berries before baking so that the sugar and flour are blackberry colored.

Mustard Crusted Tilapia

I followed the recipe exactly and my family LOVED this fish! It was not at all dry. The only change I will make next time is a little salt on the tilapia before the 10-minute bake.

Asparagus Bruschetta

DELISH!! I served this before a barbecue and got rave reviews! I used fresh grated parmesan instead of the blue cheese and added a little more salt, but that is a matter of taste. I'll be making this again soon.

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

FABULOUS! I made these exactly by the recipe. I thought the brown sugar mixture was hard to spread onto the dough, plus it was a bit grainy in the finished rolls. Next time, I will try cooking the brown sugar and butter until the sugar dissolves. That will make it easier to spread also. DH thought they needed more cinnamon, but he likes LOTS of cinnamon. After the rolls cooled, I wrapped them in plastic wrap and they are still soft today. I'll definitely be making these again! Thanks! Follow-up: Cooking the brown sugar and butter together definitely worked better -- created a less grainy filling. I made two batches last night for work today and they disappeared quickly!

Dill Dip III

This is delicious dip! I made it exactly by the recipe and then decided it needed a bit more dill -- perfect. It definitely needs to sit overnight for flavors to blend. It is very good on baked potatoes also -- a nice change from plain sour cream!

This is very good soup and is even better the next day. I used crushed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce because that's what I had on hand and cooked the pasta in the soup.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a very good cookie. It is crispier than I expected, but has a good flavor. I think semi-sweet chips and some pecans would make an even better tasting cookie.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Delicious cookies! The oatmeal makes a nice change of pace from "regular" peanut butter cookies. I used crunchy peanut butter and the cookies were great. Don't overbake or cookies will be very crispy.

Cranberry Spinach Salad

This salad is DELICIOUS!! I left out the sour cream because DH is lactose intolerant. I also added 1 Fuji apple chopped into bite-sized pieces for some extra crunch. DH doesn't like green vegetables, but loved this! Thanks!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Delicious bread! I put the cranberries and nuts in the food processor, then followed the recipe exactly. I'll add an orange glaze next time just for variety. I made the loaf last night and it was even better this AM.

Super Easy Chicken Chili

Easy and delicious! I put everything into the crockpot in the AM and it was ready to eat by supper. I used one teaspoon of cayenne and it was perfect -- just spicy enough. It's not as heavy as beef chili, but still has a nice chili taste. I'll be making this often.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

GREAT soup! I cooked the soup on high in my slow cooker because I think the low setting isn't working properly. I used chicken broth instead of beer and used 4 boneless chicken breasts. The soup was very thick -- almost a stew. I also used one can of tomatoes with green chilis and one can of plain diced tomatoes because the chilis are too spicy for me. I will definitely be making this again!!

Delicious cake -- the frosting is fabulous! Be sure the cream cheese is very soft or the finished product will look grainy -- still tastes yummy, though!
