Bermuda Fish Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
This is a great authentic recipe, just like we have had many times in Bermuda. However, you must add Outerbridge's Sherry Rum Peppers Sauce to give it the wonderful Bermuda taste. This is the Outerbridge's sauce with the black label. You can google it and find suppliers. I order 3-4 bottles at a time- great on eggs and other soups, stews, or on anything that needs a little zip.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

A great pumpkin pie! I added 5 minutes to the cook time wanting to be sure the center wasn't too liquid and it turned out a little dry. Totally my mistake.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Fantastic recipe. I did use half brown sugar and half white sugar as suggested by others and subbed a little orange juice for the water. Used Granny Smith apples. Everyone at our Thanksgiving table today loved this and said they would never bake an apple pie again after tasting this apple crisp.

Tomato 'n' Shrimp Pasta

Great recipe! Didn't change a thing and loved it. Terrific with shrimp, but would be good as is as just a tomato and mushroom sauce.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This is a GREAT cake! I was a little worried from other reviews about too much oil, but I followed the recipe exactly and it was moist and delicious. 55 minutes was perfect in my bundt pan. Used the Satiny Chocolate Glaze- easy and delicious. It drizzled exactly like the picture.

Reuben Sandwich II

I love Reubens and this is how I make them, but grill for 15 minutes per side??? Is this a typo? On a hot grill or frying pan mine take 2-3 minutes a side at the most.

Easy Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
This is a GREAT spaghetti sauce recipe! The title should say meat sauce, however. I almost didn't look at it thinking it was a plain tomato sauce. I made it for dinner at a large family gathering for 16- from ages 1 to 6- and everyone loved it. They all wanted the leftovers for lunch the next day, but there wasn't any. I used canned diced tomatoes, a little more tomato paste than it called for and also a large can of crushed tomatoes. Simmered it on low in a crock pot and it was fabulous. It will be made for Italian dinners in my house all the time, even for just the two of us. Sooo easy and absolutely delicious!
