Italian Cream Cheese and Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
I had high expectations after reading all the rave reviews. I was greatly disappointed. The texture was not creamy, more "fluffy." The taste was bland. It has no crust, which I find strange. This recipe needs it to bring some flavor to the table. I won't be making it again, there are much tastier recipes.

I would use a bit less fish and more scallops, shrimp. Just my taste. It was very tasty.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I won't make these again- they didn't taste bad but they didn't taste great either. These cookies didn't stay soft once they cooled. I followed the recipe exactly. I'm going back to the old standard...rather have great taste than soft blah cookie.

Dee's Health Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Thank you Dee for this recipe!!!! Very good bread. I left out the lemon juice-never had that in a bread recipe before and I didn't see the purpose...I'm curious if anyone knows. I halved the recipe and made three nice loaves. It's a dense loaf, filling. I kept the molasses at 1/4 cup. I added millet, oatmeal, sesame seeds and flax. I didn't have the cracked wheat or sunflower seeds. As others have said, this is a versatile bread. You can mix up the seed and nuts as you like. I shaped my loaves and baked them on preheated clay tiles. The dough held it's shape nicely as it rose in the oven. I will be using this one again and again.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
as others have noted, some adjustments need to be made to get the right consistency. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Very nice icing. We tried adding lemon juice and it was wonderful! We also tried peppermint and that, too was good. Vanilla is bland. Highly recommend flavoring it. I will use this again!

Brownie Caramel Pecan Bars

my family absolutely loved these brownies. I will try the carmel sauce next time. Unwrapping the caramels was time consuming, a one reviewer mentioned.

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
I think the batter was a bit dry, but the topping was good. I cooked the cranberries in the sugar before I put them in the pan.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
this was good and all gone in one sitting, but in my opinion it is too cheesy. A bit too rich. I will make it again but cut down on the mozzarella. I used one reader's suggestion to make it partly vegeterian and it was a great idea!
