Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
Like a number of other reviewers, I sauteed the cabbage and leeks in butter instead of boiling and simmering respectively. Not only did the kids clean their plates, they asked for seconds. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Mexican Potato Nachos

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
My oh my!!!! My son was recently diagnosed with a corn allergy and a gluten sensitivity. So I've been looking for some alternative recipes. He absolutely loves anything to do with tortilla chips. I didn't have quite everything on hand for this recipe. . . so although I tried to stay close to the recipe. . .I added about half a can of canned tomatoes and half a can of diced green chilis, in order to increase the veggie quotient. I also slice the potatoes much thinner but the overall base recipe was a home run. My family has requested that I add this to our dinner rotation. Cudos!!!!

Old-Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
This is my base recipe. I add a little more milk, a little bit more sugar, and some vanilla. The kids eat them up as fast as I can take them off the griddle.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
I printed out this recipe a few years ago and since then, it has been my ONLY cinnamon roll recipe. I make NO changes and it turns out perfect time, after time, after time. Next time you want to impress family or your pot luck brunch buddies, assemble everything the night before, slice, place in pan and refrigerate the night before. Then when you get up in the morning, pop them in the oven. Yyyyuuuummmm!!

French Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I've had a breadmachine for years, and this is by far the BEST French Bread Recipe that I've found. I will admit to 1 small change. I used 1/4 cup of Wheat Germ in place of 1/4 cup of the bread flour. Other than that I followed the recipe to the T. My family is already requesting another batch.

Cajun Spice Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
I make this recipe in bulk, as is, and keep it in my spice cabinet to make Blackened Tilapia and Blackened Ribeye. I have friends who don't like fish who ask me to make my Tilapia when they come over for dinner. Thanks!!!

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
This is a very tasty recipe and easily modified for the lo-carb dieter. We use broccoli stalks in place of the potatoes. Excellent reviews every time.

Love this recipe. I've used a a couple of times for lunches with friends and have been asked for the recipe every time. Wonderful even with mild alterations depending on what is in my refrigerator.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
I do not like lamb. My husband adores lamb. This is a recipe that we can both agree on. I make no changes except to use onions when I have no shallots handy and it comes out marvelous every time. Thanks!!!

Chicken Andouille Gumbo

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
My husband for years has sworn that he does not like gumbo. I made a batch (sticking as close to the recipe as my personality allows me to). He not only had a second helping, but when he met a gentleman from Louisiana the next day, bragged that his wife made the best gumbo! Excellent Recipe!!!! Thanks, now I can enjoy homemade gumbo again!!
