Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
I added extra milk because it was a little rich for us the amount the recipe called for but it's still a delicious drink!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
I thought the flavor was delicious, but I did cut the butter in half and used part 1% milk and added flour to thicken it up. Thanks for the great recipe!

Fresh Grapefruit Juice Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
I didn't use the yogurt, only because I tasted it first to see if I could skip it since I love fruit drinks so much and I thought it was fantastic! Very refreshing, thank you for such a great recipe!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
Awesome! My family loved them and they are incredibly easy! I used natural peanut butter, 1 1/2 sticks of butter and only 1 c of chocolate with 3 TBS peanut butter for the topping and they were still excellent. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious recipe!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
I used this recipe on a wild turkey that we thought was going to be pretty tough, but it turned out incredibly tender and delicious! We did cut it up though to fit in our cast iron dutch oven, so that may have helped, but I loved this recipe and all I added was chopped garlic to it. Thank you!

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Excellent recipe! I used chicken broth instead of water just because I had some that needed used up, but it was everyone's favorite dinner and I don't even have any leftovers!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
I was somewhat disappointed with this recipe just because I expected something different. My dough came out dry like a shortbread so I added about 1/4 c more butter. My butter was very soft, it had sat out all day, so I don't think that was the problem. The taste was pretty good, but I wouldn't tend to make these cookies again.

French Herb Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2005
This is the best french bread I have ever eaten! I ended up making it into smaller loaves so we could use it for French dip sandwiches. I also didn't have crusty bread, but I maybe just needed to cook it longer to make it crusty, I love soft bread though so it was fine with me. It had the best taste and texture. I left out the seasonings and substituted soy milk for the regular milk and olive oil instead of butter because my daughter has a dairy intolerance and it was awesome! Everyone who ate them didn't even notice the substitutions and they don't touch soy milk. Thank you for such a great recipe!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2005
I ended up substituting a few things to use what I had on hand but loved this recipe overall, so did our company! I took out the onion soup and used 1/3 c soy sauce and enough worchestershire to total 1/2 c instead. I also omitted the butter for the bread and added thyme, rosemary and garlic powder to the juice then strained it when it was done cooking. I didn't have that much roast either so I used a 1 1/2 pound venison roast that I cut up in small pieces and browned before I put it in the crockpot. This recipe was absolutely delicious! Thank you!
