Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
Pretty good!! Here's my suggestions: Bring to a boil on medium high and then allow to boil for the full 3 minutes without stirring. Space the crackers so they have some gaps between them. When the chocolate is put on, spread it with a spatula as if you were frosting each, then place in the oven for another minute to melt more, then add nuts. Let the cookies sit for about 20 minutes at room temperature and then break apart (they will not be set up all the way) into the individual crackers. Trim the edges with a knife and save the crumbs for ice cream or next time. Finally, let them chill for awhile in the freezer before storing. This way they come out looking nice enough to present--but they taste great no matter how you do it.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2005
Wow-this was very good. I didn't use the eggwash and followed another poster's reccomendation to bake for 15 min and then 6 and 6 min. I also dipped the ends in melted semisweet chocolate and dusted with chopped walnuts. No need to wait until completely cool before slicing, just wait a few minutes and use a sharp serrated knife. Will definitely make again.

Chicken Saltimbocca

Quite good- I also recommend pounding the chicken breasts and seasoning them before cooking. I used a sherry for the wine, recipe turned out very well and tastes great. Thanks.

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
very good-I sliced the potatoes in half lengthwise, and then into 1/4" slices. I also stacked the spinach leaves and sliced them similarly. I also reccomend rinsing the sausage, this makes for a less seperated soup. Soup was very good, very simple. Will use this one again.

D's Skillet Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2004
Very, very good. Yields less than I thought it would, but still excellent. I made it with Prime rib drippings and followed the recipe exactly, and it was great. One of the best I've ever tried.
