World's Best Lasagna

Based on the reviews, I thought this recipe was going to be fantastic. I made it exactly as written and neither my husband nor myself liked it. The salt completely overwhelmes the other flavors. One day I may try it again, but if I did I would omit the salt entirely. It was not a good lasagna.

This is a fabulous recipe! So easy to make and yes, it does have the flavor of lobster! Wow! Everyone loved it! I will be making this often! As a side note, I didn't use nearly as much butter as was called for and it was still wonderful!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

My husband and I loved these! Followed the recipe exactly as written as I always do the first time. The only change I'll make next time is to reduce the tomato soup by 1 can, and I'll add a bit of extra cheese to the tops of the peppers just for presentation. These are really great! Thanks for the recipe!

My Best Clam Chowder

I made this recipe as written. The family and I thought It was ok. It was very sweet tasting, not as clammy as we would have liked or what we're used to in a good clam chowder recipe. We did love the thick chowder consistency. Next time I'll try adding more clams and using all clam juice. Might even try adding some bacon to it. It is an ok base recipe. I just need to tweak it a quite a bit for our tastes.

Fluffy French Toast

Both my son and my husband said this is the best french toast they've ever eaten. My only recommendation is not to soak the bread too long or it will be soggy. I even covered the pan and it still didn't cook through. But when just soaked for a few seconds it turned out great!

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

I had to make this recipe several times before I got it just right. Here is what I did and I recommend these changes highly! Use Duncan Heinz Pineapple Supreme cake mix with water instead of the yellow cake mix with pineapple juice. It is so much better. Use Texas Muffin pans sprayed liberally with cooking spray. Double the topping recipe of brown sugar and butter. Use whole pineapple rings and press them down into the muffin cups but make sure they are level so they don't make your cakes look lopsided. Put the cherries in before cooking. Just press them down into the middle of the pineapple ring. Bake as directed. Take them out of the oven and let them sit for exactly 5 minutes so the topping can cool a bit, otherwise it will all run off. No more than 5 minutes or they will stick. Run a knife around the edge of the cakes and invert. Make sure you put foil under the cooling rack as this is really messy when the butter/brown sugar topping starts to run. By allowing them to cool for 5 minutes, most of the topping will stay on. These are wonderful and so cute! I served them at a Bunko party and they were a big hit!

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

I'm rating this recipe not only on the smooth creamy texture of this fudge, but also on the ease of making it! This is such an easy recipe and it is so good! I made it as written but intend to try adding marshmallows next time! Yum!

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Best eggnog my husband and I have EVER had! I used the recipe for 6 servings. Cut the sugar down to 1/2 C instead of 3/4 C. Didn't add the rum so people could add to personal taste. Next time I will cut the sugar to 1/3 C. It was so easy and so good!

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

I made this recipe as is and my husband and I found it very bland and that is the reason for the 3 star rating. Instead of tossing it I just did a bit of tweaking and now it is one of my fav soups of all time! I added twice the amount of ginger and cinnamon called for making it 1/2 tsp of each. Added 3 TBS of brown sugar and just a couple of dashes of cayenne pepper. Sensational! With the changes I'd give it 5 stars!
