Sliced Tomatoes with Fresh Herb Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
Very good recipe! In a hurry though, I just pour a little italian dressing on top and sprinkle with parm cheese, and its just as good.

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
Really good! I added some garlic to the spinach & green onions sauteing in the pan, and that is the only change I made this time. Next time I make it, I will only use half of the called for alfredo sauce. It really calls for too much. Just one jar will do nicely. I will add some shredded chicken as well!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I have made this several times using the Parmesan cheese in the container with the green lid, & it was very good! This time, I read through the reviews & came across one from the original submitter of the recipe to use REAL shredded Parmesan on top. So, thats what I did this time around, and it was SO MUCH BETTER! My husband claimed he was full, but kept going back for more. I had a surplus of fresh jalapenos & banana peppers in my garden, so I used those this time instead of the canned ones, and its even better. But it also really really good with the canned ones!

I might not add as many onions next time - but it was still extremely good, and I will be making it again!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
This is a good basic recipe to improve upon. Per other reviewers, I added an extra egg. I also added a tablespoon of dijon mustard, a few drops of Red Hot hot sauce, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and some salt & pepper. They turned out so yummy with those alterations!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
I do not really care for banana pudding, but my kids do - so I made this yesterday for them, and I ended up trying a piece because it was such a different recipe than the one I usually use on the back of the Nilla Wafer box. It was so rich & creamy - very decadent!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
These were absolutly wonderful - tasted like something you get at a gourmet candy shop. I used my silicon muffin cups for these, and made them quite big - a full muffin size! I call them my 'peanut butter buckets' :)

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
These were really good. I used Garlic & Herb cream cheese - and it turned out so scruptious. It was very fancy looking, without all the effort that goes along with it too. Thank you for the great recipe. I will be making it again.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Ok, I swear this is the last time I edit this review!! I give this recipe 2-3 stars as written, & 5 stars made the way I prepare it. I have made this many many times - the first time we did not care for it as I followed the recipe to a t - The chicken came out very bland. With a few alterations on the recipe, I have come up with my husband's very favorite dish! I toss the chicken in a ziploc bag with a packet of taco seasoning. Then I pour a little salsa in the bottom of the casserole, add the coated chicken breasts, then pour over the rest of the salsa. I cook it for about 35 minutes. Then I remove it, and add some Mexican melting cheese & fresh chopped jalepenos, and cook for another 5 minutes. It is sooooo good! I have also found that a slice of pepperjack cheese tastes really good too, but there is something about that Mexican melting cheese & fresh diced jalapenos that leaves my hubby & I salivating!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Absolutly wonderful - but I did make a couple of changes. I added 4 cloves of sliced fresh garlic, 1 jalepeno chopped, and 1 large onion sliced to the slowcooker. I put it on hoagie rolls and melted some pepperjack cheese on top. It was soooooo yummy. This is definatly a 'make again recipe'.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
These were awesome! They came out so tender & juicy, which is a hard thing to get a pork chop to do. I don't keep wine on hand often, so I added a little extra milk and a few good splashes of worcestshire sauce. I also used Jane's crazy salt in place of the seasoning salt, and seasoned the chops again with the janes crazy salt, some pepper, and garlic powder when they came out of the skillet before baking them. I will definatly be making these again.

American Lasagna

I have been making this recipe for about 6 years now. I always double the diced tomatoes, & add a full 2 pounds of ground beef b/c we like our lasagna nice & meaty. Wonderful recipe, and a favorite in our home.

Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
Ok, this is an edited review! I have been making this for YEARS but never make it exactly the way the recipe states as I did once and it turned out pretty bland. But, this is a great base recipe to expand on! I always add a can of cheese soup - sometimes cheddar cheese & sometimes pepper jack cheese. I also use crushed ritz crackers mixed with some melted butter to top it with. I make Charlies Mexican Style Meat, also on this site, and use chicken instead of beef & double the recipe for all sorts of dishes - and this chicken & rice casserole is one of my favorite things to use the meat in.

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
These were really good. I didnt have any jalepenos on hand, so I added some extra salsa verde to make up for it. I also used fresh chicken broth instead of canned. In addition, I added about 1/2 cup ketchup to the mixture, as my mother always did. I cooked it on low for about 8 hours in my crockpot, and it had a wonderful flavor.
