My cooking triumphs
A German Stollen that took me 1/2 a day to create as it was my first time with the recipe and making a braid (I was 15 or 16) and upon completion I left it abandoned on the kitchen counter. I returned to find it languishing in the stomaches of my father and brother, who did not even bother to share it with anyone else. This was a LARGE (3 feet) braid. Needless to say I made two the next day so the rest of the family could try it.
