About this Cook
Well what to say, what to say? I am a single mom of 4.Ages 17, 20, 22 and 25.I have been cooking all my life, I started out growing my own food and canning it. I loved that.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are Fajitas and comfort foods such as homemade macaroni and cheese and casseroles. I am now into cooking indo-european and mediterranian foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can remember my mother , my sister and I sitting at the table assembling wontons all day. THAT WAS FUN!! I was raised in California and we ate mostly Asian food.
My cooking triumphs
OOoooohhhh I just made a PERFECT pan of banana pudding!!!
My cooking tragedies
I have a terrible time with brisket ( ok I have had time to perfect it. so its much better!!). Go figure.

Banana Banana Bread
I made this for the first time today. I added a tsp of nutmeg and vanilla. It came out very dense, moist and the outside was crisp chewy. It was very good!

Ham and Cheese Quiche
I used 4 slices of Swiss to line the dough.Ran out of flour and no one told me,so I substituted Tempura flour for the all-purpose. It turned out Superb!!! Extremely tasty yet mild. YAY! for Tempura mix!!! Would definitely cook it again!

Oatsies
MMMMMMMM!!!!! I followed the recipe EXCEPT I used 1/2 cup of molasses in place of the dark corn syrup. What a great flavor! I also put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes to cool.
