Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This was a WONDERFUL meatloaf! I very rarely eat sugar anymore, so I substituted Stevia in place of the brown sugar and left out the Worcestershire sauce and added soy sauce instead. It was delicious.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Yummy! These are great pancakes, and I make them every morning! The batter was thin, but don't worry, they do puff up nicely. I added blueberries which really helped the taste. I recently decided to add about 2 Tablespoons of vanilla to the batter, and it really added a nice sweetness! *Oh, one more thing. Today, I decided to do what one reviewer suggested, which was to substitute the baking soda for baking powder. Do NOT do this! You can't substitute this way. It produced a sour aftertaste. Baking soda can be substituted for baking powder, but not vice-versa. Needless to say, I'll be making them again tomorrow-the right way!

Oat Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Wonderful recipe! I used whole wheat flour in place of the white flour and crushed up oatmeal for the oat flour. Don't worry about the batter being too thin. It cooks up perfectly and very light! I served it with sugar free syrup, fresh raspberries, blueberries, peaches, and a bit of whipped cream on top. I also heated up some veggie sausage links for added protein. A+ recipe!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
This was okay, but I feel it was missing something. It wasn't quit like I remember it. Well, nothing usually is now, is it??

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Mmm, Mmm good! Excellent flavor. I did add quite a bit more cheese than called for, but this is a great and easy recipe. Highly recommended!

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
This is a delicious recipe! The texture was perfect - not too dry. I did add 3 whole eggs, as suggested by other reviewers, but everything else was the same. Yummy! My husband was in crepe-heaven!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
These were yummy, but they needed to cook a bit longer so that the bacon would be crispy. Just keep an eye on them. I served them with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Yummy!! A hit with the hubby!

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I liked the sauce for the pork, but my pork came out dry even though I covered it with foil. I think it needs a marinade to keep it moist. I will probably use the marinade for other meats. Thank you.

Cherry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I didn't really care for this recipe. The taste was okay. I used a square pan instead of a 9x13, so maybe the crust wold have been crispier, but it still lacked flavor. I definitely would NOT cut the sugar down, but it still needs something else. I'll try another recipe. Thank you anyway.

Three Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was a good recipe, but it lacked something. It needed more spices, garlic, salt, or something. I'll keep tweaking it to fit my taste.

My husband loved these! These had just the right amount of sweetness, but I still rolled them in sugar before baking.

This was excellent! I like my soup sweet, so I added a bit of brown sugar and ketchup. Yummy! Great flavor even without my additions! My husband loved it as well.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This was okay. It would have been very bland without the changes I made. I added worcestershire sauce, extra salt, two packets of dry Lipton soup mix, and a can of cola instead of beer.

Pecan Tarts

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
These were very cute and very good! I add cool whip to the top - Yummy! My husband loved them. They taste like little pecan pies but better because they're not quite as sweet.

Wow! This is by far the best chicken salad I have ever made! I like my chicken salad sweet, so I added 1/3 cup of sugar...I know, I'm naughty! But, it sure was good! A+

Gooey Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
This was a fantastic recipe. I have always loved Gooey Butter Cake. I didn't realize it was a St. Louis specialty, as I am from that town! I did cut the sugar back to 3 Cups even though I have a huge sweet tooth. But, so many other reviewers were recommending that, so I caved into the peer pressure. I also only needed to cook it for 30 minutes, and it was absolutely perfect. I did add a bit of powdered sugar to the top to make it pretty. Yummy! Perfection!
