Raspberry Cheese Spread

This was good! I made it for fellowship at church (a very conservative group) so left off the raspberry spread and used red pepper rings for decoration. Went over very well!

Chicken and Dumplings II

Excellent recipe! I omitted the green pepper and tomato but otherwise followed the recipe as written. Probably the best chicken and dumplings I've ever made. We ate until we were stuffed! Will definitely make again!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

This was good! I added a little frozen corn and some parsley flakes and poultry seasoning. Still a little bland. Maybe add some more herbs next time but I will make it again! Maybe add some mushrooms next time too.

Tomato and Pepper Salad

I love this salad! Great fresh taste and almost calorie free! I added about 1/4 cup chopped red onion and subbed 1/2 red pepper for 1/2 of the green pepper. Also used a packet of Splenda instead of sugar and red wine vinegar. Terrific!

Mexican Rice I

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Great cole slaw! I had a very firm cabbage that I shredded then added a large shredded carrot instead of the bagged stuff. I think I had more cabbage than is in the bag, but that was OK because we don't like goopy slaw. I used light Miracle Whip and Splenda. I also increased the vinegar to 3 T. It was a little bit sweet for me but my husband said it was the best he's ever eaten. This is my new cole slaw recipe!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

This dressing is great! Very tangy but flavorful and I like that. Means I don't have to use very much on my salad which helps keep the calories down. Thanks for the great recipe!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

This was really good! Not quite hot enough for our tastes. Added 2 more tsp cumin and 1/4 tsp cayenne. Great way to use leftover turkey. Will definitely make this again.

Sesame Green Bean Salad

Initially it didn't seem to have very much flavor so upped the vinegar to about a tablespoon. Also added 3 sliced green onions and 1/4 of a diced red pepper. That seemed to do it. I think it will be even better by tomorrow when it's had more time to marinate.

Spaghetti Sauce Mix

Had more noodles left over than sauce so tried this in order to stretch it. It's GREAT! I didn't have sweet pepper flakes so used about 1 T. of red pepper flakes. I'm so glad to have founds this. No more bottled spaghetti sauce for me!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Wow! Incredible! Only change I made was that I didn't have buttermilk so used a scant T. lemon juice and regular milk. Extremely moist and delicious! And this recipe is a little lower in fat than some of them which makes me even happier!

Green Chili and Cheese Chicken

Really yummy! I combined this recipe with Mexican Sour Cream Rice also on this site. Used chicken tenders because that was what I had. Simply laid them on top of the rice, topped with green chilies then pepper jack cheese. Really good!

Mexican Sour Cream Rice

This was really good. I combined it with Green Chili and Cheese Chicken on this site. Used fat-free sour cream and pepper jack cheese. Then I placed the chicken breasts on top, topped with more green chilies and more pepper jack cheese. Yummy! Next time I might use black beans instead of corn and add some onion and green pepper. Will definitely make again. Update: Just made this again with about 1/2 cup diced onion, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper and black beans instead of corn. Omitted fresh cilanto because husband doesn't like it. Put Green Chili and Cheese Chicken on top. This is probably the best Mexican casserole I've ever made or eaten! Absolutely wonderful!!

Black Friday Turkey Salad

Not bad though very different. A little too much mustard for my taste and not quite enough dressing. Added a couple of tablespoons of vidalia onion dressing (it's a little sweet) and that seemed to take care of both issues. Also added a little diced onion for crunch and flavor. Husband liked it but not sure I won't do the traditional next time.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

WOW!! This is by far the best potato soup I've ever eaten! I used red potatoes that I didn't peal and added about 1/2 cup shredded cheese when the soup was done. Really wonderful! Will most certainly make again! Update: Needed to make without the ham because Doc had dental work done. Made with russet potatoes and 8oz light Velveeta. Even Doc liked it!
