About this Cook
Married for 27 years, mother to one, and have five wildly entertaining kitty cats. I am a vegetarian and have been since birth. Needless to say, it has been pretty hard to find good recipes for my family that I can fix them ~ (they both LOVE meat). I'm still trying though! =)
My favorite things to cook
I love to fix homemade mac. & cheese, different styles/kinds of potatoes, and pastas! I also LOVE to bake and my daughter and I like to try new dessert recipes together over the holidays.

Hot Bean Dip
This bean dip is truly incredible. I took other peoples advice and used the entire package of taco seasoning mix. I didn't have any of the hot pepper sauce or dried parsley on hand, so I just omitted those. In place of the Monterey Jack cheese,(our local store did not have it), I used Pepper Jack cheese. My husband ate his dip in a burrito and my daughter and I just crushed some tortilla chips in it and ate it like that. Needless to say, every last bit of it was devoured. Thanks so much for a wonderful recipe! :)

Grandma's Corn Pudding
The flavor was really good, just not the consistency - it was too runny and I even drained the corn. I did use a regular bowl type casserole dish though, so that I'm sure was the problem. The next time I do make this I will take the advice of another reviewer and use a flat 2-quart casserole dish instead.

Seven Layer Taco Dip
*Pretty* good but I was surprised at how watery it was. I too had to soak up sides with a paper towel. Probably would not make again.
