Sheila's Perfect Sangria

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Have made this sangria many times before and it has been a hit every single time. Over the years I've played around with the fruit that I add and no matter what I add, it is always great. I usually prepare it the night before and pour it into mason jars--my guests really seem to like that.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
These pancakes are just fabulous! I've made them several times and they always turn out fluffy, golden, and perfect. I dont usually care for pancakes...but I can sure devour a stack of THESE! The only changes that I make is that I add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter.

Amazing Simple Thai Tofu

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
I've been using this recipe for about a year now. Prior to that, I really didnt care for tofu. Now I love it! I've never added the coconut thoug--just because I never had any. I add everything else that the recipe calls for. Once it's cooked, I serve it over brown rice and top it with a scrambled egg, a healthy amount of fresh cilantro, and a dash of sesame seeds. Id really good with Srirachs (the red rooster sauce). Enjoy!

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
This bread pudding is delicious! I've made it several times and even won a dessert contest with it. Over time Ive changed a few things. Instead of just plain milk: use equal parts of evaporated milk, non-fat milk, and whipping cream. I also pack butter and brown sugar into a few crevices once the bread pudding is assembled. Also, I add a bit more vanilla and nutmeg to the recipe than what it calls for.

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
Makes a very good cookie! Great as described, You can pretty much add anything you like to them. For example, Ive added cinnamon and apples before or peaches. My favorite is as follows: I use butter instead of margarine, use one cup of wheat and one of white flour, use cup of brown sugar and one cup of Splenda Sugar-Bllend for baking, I use white chocolate chips instead of butterscotch, increase oats to 3 cups instead of 2, add 3 tablespoons benefiber powder (to increase fiber), 3 tablespoons of flaxseed meal, add 1/2 cup of walnuts, and add 1/3-1/2 cup of dried cranberries. YUM!

Homemade Wine Coolers

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Loved this! I made 3 different types. For the first one, I used white wine and added mango to it before freezing it. The second one was red wine with frozen blueberries. With the third, I poured white wine in the ice trays and topped them with just a splash of red wine. The third ones looked so pretty! All of my guests LOVED this, and it was a nice beverage to serve at noon. Thanks for the recipe!

Amazingly delicious!Ive used this recipe many times, and its my new favorite. The meat really does fall off the bone. I spruce up the store bought bbq sauce. I buy Chris n Pitts bbq sauce and mix it with tabasco sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, orange juice(small amount), and parsley. It's so good.

YUM! It was my first time cooking rutabaga. So much better than I expected. I used 1/2 cup of the chicken stock and added red bellpepper in with the onions. I used chicken apple sausage from Trader Joes, and chicken Andouile sausage from trader joes. It made the vegetables sweet and spicy. So good! My husband loved this and is very excited about having rutabaga again.

mmmm, this is so good. Ive mede it severl times and absolutely love it! I change it around at time by adding some extra ingredients like mango sausage, corn, paprika, cayenne pepper, and cumin. I also play with the amount of chicken broth that I add. My husband isnt really into soupd, so at times i will cut the broth in half. I top it with a spoonful of sourcream, and YUM!

Crab Salad III

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Very low calorie and really good. I didnt have olives or radishes. I used orange and yellow bell peppers instead of green. I also added canned corn to it. My husband liked it and he usually wont eat imitation crab meat. He added Sriachi sauce to it and really enjoyed it. I added extra dried basil to it and Old Bay seasoning.
