World's Best Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2014
I loved this soup. I made a few substitutions based on what I had at home. I used shallots instead of an onion as I just bought some at the farmers market, I also used a can of evaporated milk in place of the half and half, I put half of the bacon in the soup and kept the rest reserved for garnish, a couple dashes of natures seasoning salt and I added half a packet of dry ranch seasoning for additional flavor. Topped it off with green onion, bacon crumbles and cheese. Mmm I will make it again!

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
Loved this. I had buttermilk that was given to me so I decided to search or something to use it with. I decided upon this pie. It was VERY good. I have never even had Buttermilk pie previously but loved it. I took the pie into work and everyone liked it! It was gone in a flash. I did add a teaspoon of cinnamon and cut the sugar to 1 1/4 cup, it was perfect. The only issue I had was the crust getting dark too fast. I will make this again

Ground Turkey Noodle Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
It was delicious lunch on a cold day, I used a jar of spaghetti sauce instead if the tomato sauce, and was served with garlic toast. I will make this again for sure.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2013
My family loved this chicken one Saturday afternoon, we made it as the recipe was written and added some ranch dressing on top as a sandwich dressing. I think this is an ideal game day staple for the football game parties. Along with this we made some homemade steak fries. Wonderfully easy and delicious!

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
I love this recipe, My co workers loved it so much they requested I make it a second day in a row. I did use a cup of oatmeal in the topping, didn't use the ginger or nutmeg because I didn't have it and it was still wonderful. Funny but when I put the topping on top of the apples I thought it was too much dry ingredients to get moist. It wasn't.... Lol. It turned out perfect. We removed the top the last hour and it made our office smell so good! Perfect, easy, make it and forget it dish. Perfect for an office carry in for sure.
