Classic Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
I made this recipe omitting some things that my tummy doesn't agree with like the hot sauce. It was OK but not my favorite corn chowder recipe.

1-2-3 Jambalaya

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
I just made this recipe last night. I've never had jambalaya before so I wasn't sure what to expect but I like it. I used turkey sausage and omitted the hot pepper sauce (& parsley by accident). I bought a bigger box of the rice and shrimp than the recipe called for because this was what I could find at my store but I thought it turned out well. In fact we had enough for leftovers. I will definitely be making this again.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
My whole family enjoyed this soup and it was easy to make. The only things I did differently was use canned chicken, carrots that were already sliced I added more noodles.

Lentil and Smoked Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
This went over really well with my daughter & husband. I wasn't crazy about my first bite but after a few bites I realized how good & hearty this soup is. I tried to double this recipe to use up my lentils as I had a bigger bag - next time I may measure this out. I too am not a spicy person so I only used 1/4 tsp of the cayenne pepper. I used tequila lime chicken sausage as this was what I had in the fridge. I think this is a recipe one can use alternatives quite easily to suit ones taste buds. I will be making this again but next time I might throw it in the crock pot.

Pasta e Fagioli I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
I was skeptical to try this at first but now I have to say this was delicious. However I added too much pasta so I needed to add more broth. I used one container of beef stock and the rest I used bouillon cubes and water. I didn't have fresh thyme so I just used the dry kind and this still tasted really good. I definitely will be making this again!
