Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2007
the best banana cream pie i have ever had! i followed the recipe exactly as it was written and it turned out beautifully. the only thing i recommend is to be very careful when you are making the pudding portion of the recipe. i burnt mine a little bit as i was warming it up but it was easy to get rid of the burnt portion. this will be the only banana cream recipe i ever use again and it was easy too!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Very moist and delicious pumpkin bars! They are the best when you let them sit for a day before eating. When we ate them after they cooled the pumpkin flavor tasted a little odd but the next day they were delicious! Would certainly make these again.

Anaheim Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
WONDERFUL RECIPE! Not too soup like others suggested, it was just right! I used onions instead of leeks so this may have made a difference. Great recipe and will certainly try it again.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Pretty good recipes. Nice and creamy, the consistency was nice but I felt it was lacking flavor! The dijon mustard overpowered it way too much and only added 1 tablespoon. When I first read people's complaints about the dijon mustard I thought they were crazy, but I agree. Next time I will try it without the dijon mustard and do half sharp cheddar, half medium cheddar.

Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
I thought this recipe was very simple and easy to make! Mine came out a little runny because I wasn't watching what I was doing but it still tastes wonderful! Would eat again. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because it needs more zing! I put in some cayenne pepper. Lemon juice would be good too!

Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
Just like my boyfriend's mother makes! The only thing that I suggest when combining your pork and other ingredients (i used ground pork) is to mix it in one direction to keep the pork moist. I also serve the soup with chinese egg noodles and spinach, yummy!

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2005
overall a very good recipe. I reduced the butter by two tablespoons and added one less clove of garlic based on others who suggested to reduce those amounts. I also added chicken and broccoli, yummy! I would make it again!

Iced Tea I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
This was a great starter recipe. I made it with green tea and it was delicious, though like others said, i added sugar. Also, instead of teabags, I used loose leaf green tea. I only added about 3/4 cup of sugar and that was just the right amount to sweeten the drink but yet still let the flavor of green tea be the key taste. Sure beats the store boughten which is overloaded with sugar!

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
great easy recipe. beats the grilled because i always happen to burn mine a little on the griddle. perfect crispiness on both sides and it wasn't soggy in the middle like others have suggested.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
Great recipe. Nice and spicy... just how I like my food. Though it could have been spicer. I would call it more of a 'zing' then spicy, if I had to choose. The only thing I recommend is reducing the amount of cumin, because it was a little too much and the extra teaspoon of salt was not necessary, expecially when adding soy sauce and garlic. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. I recommend this recipe to anyone who would like to 'zing' up a boring old turkey burger

China Moon Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2005
Great recipe. Tastes very similar to my boyfriend's mother's salmon recipe & it also has the same ingredients! The only thing I recommend is reducing the amount of chicken broth and adding a little more red pepper flakes, otherwise everything is yummy. Also, instead of steaming mine, I broiled it -- makes the flavors combine in the fish better.

Garden Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2005
I would disagree that this is more than just pasta with dressing. Yeah the ingredients are just the combination of the two but if you are looking for a easy pasta salad, this is eat. To cater to personal tastes, we added black olives and only used 3/4 a bottle of salad dressing. Will use again, though i will try with a red onion next time.

Juicy Fruit Salad

Great recipe though I added strawberries and used red grapes instead. As someone else said, a great combination of fruits. I am surely putting this one into my recipe book.

Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2005
Nice starting recipe but I would recommend lowering the amount of rice vinegar and sugar down to 2 tablespoons each (even when using 2 cups of uncooked rice as I do to make a California Roll) as you don't want it to overpower the flavor. Otherwise a good recipe to start from.

Not the first time I've made egg salad but I feel this is a pretty good recipe to start with but like another I also added mustard and also some salt.
