Grandmaw Cain's Beef tips and Rice

Really yummy... made almost exactly as directed, except cut in half. The only change I made was adding pepper to the flour before browning the meat. It was like a meaty rice pilaf. Served with asparagus. This is definitely going in my rotation.

Roasted Chickpeas

I'm obsessed with these! I make them several times a week. Here's the deal: I roast them at 400 degrees for a half an hour or so, shaking the pan a few times throughout. Then I toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and cook for another half an hour, also shaking throughout. They're way better if you add the oil halfway through, or else they don't get crispy and crunchy. They're so healthy and tasty this way!

Chicken and Potato Soup

I tried to like it, but it was so bland. There was no flavor, and I even tried some of the other suggestions. Sorry, but I'll look elsewhere next time.

Apple Butter Pork Loin

I tried to like it, but it just wasn't that great. It just tasted like sugar to me, and I followed the directions exactly. I don't think I'd try it again.

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Fantastic- Super easy, great flavor. I kept the recipe the same, except I didn't have an onion so I used dried. Also added lots o pepper and a bit of paprika- fabulous, fabulous, fabulous.

One Dish Bourbon Chicken

This was horrible... the bourbon was not offset by the garlic and onion, the bourbon made the chicken too sweet. No one in my house ate it and none of us are picky eaters. I do NOT recommend
