Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is even better if you substitute the vanilla pudding mix with dark chocolate pudding mix, and not to forget to add in 4 tbsps of cocoa powder. And take it out of the oven 1-2 mins before the suggested baking time.

Amaretto Cake

I think that the taste and texture for this cake is only so so. I can say honestly that I had many better cakes. But it is relatively easy to make and can be poured into any cake tin.

Basic British Scones

I don't know how the other guys handle the dough in this recipes, but I choose it anyway, despite the bad reviews because of the low fat content. Couple of tips for this recipes: 1)Do not "overub-in" the butter. Yes! please use butter for the flavour, instead of the margarine. 2)Make sure everything is extremely cold. 3)Do not knead the dough for more than 8-10 times, even when there are crumbs left behind, just pat them onto the dough when you shape it out on the cookie sheet. 4)Instead of cream of tartar and baking soda, add 2 tsps of baking powder. I made many many scones before, but never ever cut any of them into circles as suggested in recipes. Instead roll the dough out into a 6" circle and scour the circle into 6 triangles is my favourite method.

Best Brownies

I was never a lover of brownies, but I choose this recipes for my company's party because it was so highly rated. I had a couple of bite of it and thought that it was okay, but everyone else... they never stop asking me for the recipe.

Carrot Cake VI

I choose this recipe because of the really low fat content. However, instead of chopped walnut I grind the walnuts into almost powder in a food processor to throw them in with the dry ingredients. In addition, I substitute cloves for allspice. Turn out that this is one of the most delicious carrot cake. The fact that we have to precook the carrots, and the natural oil from the ground up walnuts works wonders.

Bread Machine Challah I

Fantastic flavour and texture. However, I substituted brown sugar for the white sugar in the recipe. Extremely easy too, we throw everything into the bread machine and wake up with a great loaf of bread for breakfast as promised.
