Zippy Shepherd's Pie

Browning the crumbled meat prior to topping with potatoes is definitely a new method from the original recipes of Shepard pie meatloaf style. I've made recipes both ways and both are good. My family liked the gravy with this recipe. Making it meatloaf style there isn't gravy unless you make it seperately.I will be making this recipe again..

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

I noticed other than salt and pepper there arent any seasonings..we are a family that likes big flavour..I rubbed the chicken with olive oil salt and pepper and roasted it on 400 f for 17 min. I also added 1 tsp poultry seasoning 1/2cup dry white wine and 1 tblsp of chili powder to the combined soups. The first time I made it my family wasnt impressed but thats my fault for being so big on huge flavours in my cooking all their lives. I also never poach chicken as it takes so much flavour out.. I pretty much roast everything in olive oil because it adds flavour..I cut up a variety of fresh mixed veggies (broccoli, onions, mushrooms, red bell pepper) drizzle with olive oil salt and pepper with fresh sliced garlic. Toss it to coat veggies then roast in the oven on 425 for 15 min. We love it and I change the veggie mix each time.

Amish White Bread

Since I found this recipe two months ago, I make it once a week. I make dinner rolls not loaves.I also use the dough to make pizza and cinnamon rolls. One reviewer said it makes dense bread but mine is soft and fluffy. I use the rapid rise active yeast. This recipe was fail safe for me and its the best bread ever! (I cut sugar back to 1/3 cup instead of 2/3 cup unless Im making cinnamon rolls)..
