Candied Almonds

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Super Easy! Just ignore the picture - they do not come out shiny. Like others have said, you stir until ALL liquid is gone (10-15 minutes). At first I thought I had ruined them - it turned into an ugly gob of goo, but suddenly it crystalized back into sugar - they were perfect. I ended up making a second batch immediately. These remind me very much of the nuts from the fair!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Wonderful! Was a big hit at the dinner I brought it to - there was nothing left. Loved the sour cream taste. I used fresh green beans(a must in my opinion)!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
I added 1/2 cup milk, crushed Ritz crackers on top, and omited the butter. Turned out perfectly - tasted great and was nice and CREAMY, not dry and strigy as others described. I don't know why others are having such a problem with it turing out dry (I am assuming they are using an entire 16 oz. box of pasta rather than half.) Next time I'll be adding onions and bacon to give it some more texture.

Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2004
Personally I thought this was fantastic. It's a lot like the corn cakes you get at mexican resturants. However when I brought this to Thanksgiving dinner, nobody seemed to be a fan. I think it must have been the texture, it was kinda mushy, but the flavor is great. It seemed like there was more corn bread than corn. I think next time I will add an extra can of whole corn and drain the water out of the can. You have to use some water out of the can, otherwise I think it would be too dry.

Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
Good with rice and easy to make. The chicken was moist and flavorful, but that is because I more than doubled the amount of soy sauce, flour and pepper. I used a glass dish, and the chicken was a little stuck on the bottom and the extra soy sauce got a little burnt around the edges, but that was my fault for adding so much. MMMmm I love soy sauce! I will deffinetly make this again!

German Potato Salad

This was great, and so easy to make! Although I about doubled the amount of vinegar the recipe called for.
