I added 1/2 cup milk, crushed Ritz crackers on top, and omited the butter. Turned out perfectly - tasted great and was nice and CREAMY, not dry and strigy as others described.
I don't know why others are having such a problem with it turing out dry (I am assuming they are using an entire 16 oz. box of pasta rather than half.)
Next time I'll be adding onions and bacon to give it some more texture.
