Like others, I made a few changes (what cook doesn't, really?) and appreciate this recipe as a great launch pad. I added 1tsp each salt, pepper, and rosemary which I blended with 2 Cups milk and 2Tbs organic chicken bouillon (a gel), rather than cream of chicken soup (not a fan). In addition to 1 chopped onion, I added chopped celery and carrots. 30 mins before serving, I removed 1 Cup of the broth to blend with 4Tbs flour, and gently stirred it back in to thicken the soup. I can't stand canned biscuits, but still wanted the wonderful texture of chicken and dumplings, so I served this soup in a bed of savory mashed potatoes, with a portion of chicken and a buttermilk biscuit... Heavenly!
