French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
Delicious! However, following the recipe exactly, I found it fed at least seven people!

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
Probably just personal preference at work here, but I used half the prescribed amount of vinegar and the overwhelming vinegar taste was still too strong for me. The flavors just didn't seem to blend all that well. I'll probably try it again with additional adjustments because I liked the general idea.

Slow Cooker Creole Black Beans and Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2014
I let it cook overnight, but wasn't quite satisfied with the taste in the morning. I added a fresh minced jalepeno pepper as well as a teaspoon of cumin, which seemed to waken the flavors a bit. Overall it is a nice recipe though...I cooked it for a potluck, and there were no leftovers--always a good sign.

Frosty Strawberry Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2014
Since it was my first time with this recipe and I was making it for company, I read all the reviews for advice. I blended the strawberries thoroughly before mixing with the meringue and cream. I also 1 1/2'd the crust, and in my estimation, I could easily have doubled it. These were delicious, and the walnut crust was perfect. Thanks so much for sharing!

Selena's Kong Bao Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2014
Absolutely delicious! I used shallots instead of green onion because I had them on hand. I put in half a red and half a green bell pepper, and the added flavor was delightful. When I make it again (which I absolutely will!)I will also probably put half the sugar in, as it was a bit too sweet for our taste. Overall a great recipe!

Asian Barbequed Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
This is a great marinade! The first time I used this recipe, I used it on pork tenderloin, and it was fabulous! I used it again on beef steak, with a few added ingredients according to my taste. I added about 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon of Chinese 5-spice powder. I also fried the marinated steak in peanut oil, which turned out to be a positive addition.
