Overnight Bubble Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
Oh my,this is sooo good. I doubled up the sauce as other reviewers had mentioned, and it was just fantastic.I actually reversed the schedule of this bread...I did it in the morning to bake right before supper. But I figured overnight is considered about 8 hrs,so I let it sit covered for about 7-8 hrs,and those babies were sky high and ready to bake by suppertime. I can't wait until breakfast tomorrow when I can have some with my coffee :) Thanks for a great, easy recipe!!!

Restaurant Style Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
This is a keeper! I will be making my lasagna like this again. I did make some changes, like everyone always does; I used no-cook noodles, put about 1 cup sauce in the bottom of the dish, used jarred tomato sauce because I was time crunched, and browned the meat w/the jar of sauce. I layered it as stated in the recipe, added another jar of sauce on top of the final layer, and added more shredded cheese on top,but covered it,as stated on the box of no cook noodles. I baked it @ 375 degrees for 50 minutes, took the cover off and baked for another 10.Then I let it sit about 10 minutes.Awesome! This is the 1st lasagna that didn't run all over the plate when you try to serve it.My whole family loved it! Thanks for the great recipe! ;)

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
This was really good! I marinated it(breast strips, not thighs) for about 45 minutes. The chicken was tender, and a beautiful golden brown color, thanks to the soy and worcestershire sauce. My family loved it,and I will be making it again! Thanks!

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
Wonderful! These were great! I was planning a 4 pm dinner time, so I started preparing these about 1 pm. I put them in the crock pot @ 2 pm and stirred them once or twice and by 4 pm when it was time to eat (Thanksgiving Dinner) they were fabulous! The consistency was great, not runny or hard. Even left overs the next day were good. If you're reheating them after they've been cold, and they are hard, just add some milk. They're perfect every time! :-)

Leslie's Salty Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
Wow did these make a huge hit at a recent family cookout! Even the kids wanted 2nd's! I made 25 of these on a large grate over a campfire. I bought some pkg'd seasoning for potatoes in the produce isle, buttered each foil piece, sprinkled about 1/4 t seasoning and a sprinkle of coarse salt, rolled each potato in it,and wrapped it. They were all ready in about 1 hr,to 1 hr 10 min. All the potatoes were pretty even in size.I will be making these again! Thanks :)

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
This is one great baked chicken recipe! I've been making a variation of this recipe for years, but my old recipe just got replaced by this one:) The sauce was very easy to make...I substituted brown sugar for the white sugar, added a little shot of Teriyaki just bacause I had some, and a few sprinkles of chili powder.I,like some of the other reviewers, did not baste every 10 minutes as the recipe called for. I just covered it and put it in the oven.I baked the thighs @ 375 for 1 hour and they were moist and wonderful.Towards the end, I uncovered the dish, and I did baste it once. I think this sauce would taste great with pork, too. I'll have to try that:)

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
This is a great pork chop recipe. I always get discouraged when I have to do breading in a recipe, even though the end result is always very good, its just messy and time consuming to me...however,this was not,and the end result was wonderful. Thanks to the other reviewers I had a heads up on the whole stuffing falling off the pork chops issue,so I just put the stuffing in a plastic bag,and crushed the bigger pieces down until they were like bread crumbs. You still get the great flavor of the stuffing, but its finer like bread crumbs. Make sure the butter is spread evenly in the pan before putting the chops in,so sticking doesn't occur. And DO NOT overbake. I used thin boneless chops and 20 minutes total definetly is a good number to go by for bake time. Even my extremely picky son went back for 2nds! Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Pumpkin Pie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This recipe is a keeper. I served it Christmas Eve and everyone raved about it. It's easy to make and has a very good crust. I had to bake it about 10 minutes longer than the recipe called for,but just keep on eye on it. When it stops jiggling, its done:)

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Wow was this good; if my family wasn't at the table with me,I was tempted to eat the whole pan full of chicken! While it was simmering it smelled really ketchup-y,but hang in there, because the end result is yummy. I took the advice of other reviewers and doubled the sauce recipe, added some garlic powder and a little red wine, and let it simmer about 45 minutes and the chicken was as moist and tender as you could ask for. I made rice along with the chicken, and the sauce was very good on top of it. I will definetly make this again! Thanks for such a wonderful and easy recipe! :) *****Update*** I tried this with boneless Pork Chops and it's just as YUMMY!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Excellent recipe...my husband said he rated it 100 stars:) I, like some of the other reviewers put the sauce on top of the meatloaf and I also added about 1 T of BBQ sauce, and the flavor was great. Next time instead of baking it in a baking dish,I'll use a rack to get the meat up out of the grease and juices. A great recipe to keep and make over and over.

Maple-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
This marinade makes a really good tasting pork tenderloin. I also baked the meat in a 375 degree oven, but I marinated it in a disposable bag,and dumped everything in the baking dish. I didn't do the stove top reheat step of the marinade, and the meat turned out moist, flavorful and perfect. I baked it for about 30 minutes covered, and about 20 mintues uncovered, then I let it rest for a few minutes, covered. My family loved it. Its a keeper :)

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
Wonderful baked bean recipe. I made them in a large foil pan, enough to serve about 25 people at my son's graduation party. They were a hit. I played around with the type of beans I used; Great Northern, pinto and regular baked beans and the results were great. FYI - its always hard to judge how much to make, and to double everything or not. I used 2 cans each of the beans(regular beans I used the large size) and I did have leftovers. Also, bake for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for them to get nice and hot. I have another party this weekend, and I'm making these again :) Thanks for a great recipe.

Glorified Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
Wow,these were good, and the guests at my party couldn't get enough of them. Easy to prepare, also. I made enough to serve about 25 people, using a large foil pan. I used 2 1/2 bags hash browns, and 4 cans and 4 containers of cream cheese. Bake for about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs for that large of a quantity. Delicious! ;)

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2010
Very good sandwich; I didn't have time to slow cook so I did this in the oven for about 3 hrs @ 325,took out the meat, shredded it,placed it on buns and topped them with baby Swiss cheese.I popped the sandwiches back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese started to get soft. I served the au jus for dipping. My family loved it!

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
Excellent salad! I took this salad to Easter dinner as my contribution to the meal, and it was a big hit. The dressing was so easy to make-I used Raspberry Champagne vinegar. It gave the dressing a gorgeous red color and the sugar in the dressing really brought out the sweetness in the strawberries. I didn't used the poppy seeds, but instead used sliced almonds, which added crunch and texture. Also, I used 1/2 baby salad greens and 1/2 spinach.I've already made a 2nd batch of the dressing for my family to eat here at home, and its just great. I plan to make this again and again. Thanks for a wonderful, easy and colorful salad thats also good for you! :)

Excellent! I've made this twice in one week it was THAT good. The 1st time I made it on the grill;be sure to keep a close eye on the bread or it will burn quickly. The 2nd time I made it on the stove top,and it made a wonderful sandwich. Thanks for a great recipe!
