Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
Really good.I only baked this for about 22 minutes and they turned out perfect.I took them camping and put them in a zip top plastic bag,and they never got hard or chewy, they stayed soft and good.I will make them again.Very easy.

Chicken Casserole Mississippi

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
This was pretty good; my family did not jump up and down about it,but for a weekday supper it was suitable. I used Mostaccioli noodles and added sour cream to the mixture. I also added black pepper and garlic powder and some mozzarella cheese. I used precooked chicken so it went quicker.Decent supper, just not spectacular.

Potatoes Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
Very good and easy potato dish, just be sure to boil the potatoes long enough, before putting them in the oven. Some pieces of potato were a little harder than others. The onions give it a great flavor!

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
This turkey was awesome! Moist and juicy on the inside. Golden brown on the outside; the only complaint I would have is that when the turkey gets tented in aluminum foil for so long,it tends to take longer to bake.My turkey, which was 12# took 4 1/2 hrs. I've read in other reviews that tenting does extend the bake time, but the results are worth it. You just have to plan on extra bake time. I plan on making it this way again, the next time my meal calls for a delicious turkey :)

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This is such an awesome dinner! I covered my skillet and let it simmer for about 1 hour. The sauce was still watery,so I uncovered the skillet the last 20 minutes or so,and turned up the heat. The result was a delicious, fork tender topping for buttered noodles. I also used fresh mushrooms and compensated by adding alittle extra water, instead of the canned mushrooms with juice. My family LOVES this meal! :)

Macaroni and Cheese V

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This was not as good as I thought it would be. It was not at all creamy. Even my kids who are Mac and Cheese addicts didn't care for it.I probably won't be making it again.

Red Slush Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
This punch was a big hit at a baby shower that I hosted. I had 25 people and made the recipe amount that was shown originally, and had a ton left over. I also took it out of the freezer about 1 hour ahead of time,to allow it to thaw a little bit,so it wasn't a huge ice chunk in my punch bowl. Also,it takes a good 8 hrs to really freeze up,so making this a day ahead of time is a really good idea. Overall a very good punch :)

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
A very good tasting dip.Make sure to use a large, flat platter or dish to serve this on. It makes alot, and if the dish is too small,it gets really tall on the plate, and its hard to serve. But it was good, and I'd make it again.:)

Oven Fried Potatoes II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
Quick and easy, and very good.Baking at a high heat keeps the outside crispy and the inside was incredibly soft and good. I added some "Steakhouse" seasoning(the kind you get at the grocery store) and sprinkled that on the potatoes before putting them in the oven. The family loved them.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
This did not work for my family; The kids didn't like it and even my husband, who usually never complains about any food said he didn't like it.The crushed chips were floating around on the bottom of the cassarole dish, and that made it hard to serve. Not great flavor either. It was edible,so I gave it 2 stars, but will not be making it again.
