About this Cook
I am a married 23 year old in the IT field, specifically a technical support supervisor. I am still working on my bachelor's degree in computer science.
My favorite things to cook
I especially love making COOKIES! Chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter, raspberry, granola, pumpkin, dutch butter, sugar, you name it! I also cook vegetables, especially the likes of tubers, squash, and beans. The only meat I really deal with is chicken and lamb or fish like salmon or tuna.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always remember making Toll House cookies around christmas, and green beans and corn simmering for hours on Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
I baked 6 dozen chocolate chip and cocoa chocolate chip cookies and took them to work. After sending out a mass email, almost half of the company had come by and sampled them and everyone was raving about how good they were. This was how I got to know many of my co-workers and it was a wonderful ice-breaker. I ended up bringing them on 5 more occasions and I still get asked by people whose names I can't even remember when I'm bringing in my "famous cookies"!!
My cooking tragedies
I once steamed a big pot of squash and left it boiling, forgot about it, and then found it 3 hours later a charred mess, and chucked the lot of it along with the pot. Also, we won't even go into the time I tried to cook a lobster!

Sea Foam Frosting
This was almost a complete disaster. It did not whip up or form peaks one bit. Eventually on the second try I added some confectioner's sugar and a handful of flour, whipped it again, and used it as a glaze for spice cookies. It worked really well for that purpose, so I'll give it two stars.

Pumpkin Cookies III
I have a feeling that these are going to be an annual fall favorite in my household! The dough is a bit runny, to overcome this I just refrigerated it for 10 minutes before each batch and add an 1/8th cup of flour. I added some cinnamon and chocolate chips and used the following frosting: They came out delicious, moist, and spicy, and made the house smell great too! Thank you Terry for the great recipe!

Great Grandad's Sugar Cookies
They came out very well! I didn't have a rolling pin or anything, so I just rolled them and cut them out with a coffee cup. I used some orange icing, cinnamon chips, and milk chocolate chips to top them. My roommate and husband both like them a lot! It's an easy recipe to make, but the preparation took about 45 minutes to make the full batch.
