Garden Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
I wanted to like this meatloaf, but like another reviewer commented, there is way to much bread crumbs, which made the meatloaf mushy. I think with a little tweaking this could be a good recipe. Less bread crumbs, maybe half the amount. Less brown sugar, maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons. I might try this again with the changes I mentioned.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
Just took this out of the oven and gave a taste......Delicious! I made it with 1/3 cup Splenda like another reviewer and instead of ground nutmeg and cloves, I added 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. Also used Craisins instead of raisins. Tastes like apple pie without the crust. Can't wait to try it with a little whipped topping later. Thank you for a great, easy recipe.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
Love this soup. I made a mistake and added too much Paprika. I could taste the paprika, but it wasn't inedibile. I can't wait to make this soup again correctly. This will definitely be a regular in my rotation. Next time may add some diced carrots or other vegetables. Thank you for a delicious mushroom soup recipe!

The Ultimate Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
I've made this a bunch of times already. It's my "go-to" pasta salad. As another reviewer stated, it's a meal in itself. I have improvised according to what I've had in the fridge. This time I didn't have cauliflower, just broccoli and some diced provolone cheese to make up for the little amount of Mozzerella I had. I use turkey pepperoni to cut down on the calories. You really won't be able to tell the difference. The dressing is perfect. Thank you for a great recipe!

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
A very healthy version of Stuffed Peppers. I still prefer a stuffed pepper with rice and ground beef, but this is a good alternative. I may do as another member suggested and make the vegetable mixture and mix with rice or Quinoa. Thank you for sharing!

Cream of Tomato Soup with Pesto

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Delicious! I took the advice of another reviewer and added the pesto to the tomato mixture before adding the half and half. I also used fat free half and half to save on calories. This is so much better than canned soup, it doesn't even compare. Sure it's a little more work, but it's worth it! Thanks for the recipe!

Crumb-Coated Cod

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
Very good recipe. I made this exactly as written. I may try it with just dipping it in butter as another reviewer stated to cut back on the salt. But my husband loved it as is. The crunchy topping is what makes this dish. Will definitely be making this again. Thank you!

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
This is the first corn chowder I've ever attempted. It was very easy to make and delicious. I made the recipe as stated, but next time might add a can of whole kernel corn as other reviewers mentioned. Also, may try it as a vegetarian soup and with milk instead of cream to cut down on calories. All in all a very hearty, "comfort" soup. Thank you for sharing your Grandma's recipe!

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2015
This is an excellent banana bread. I made this for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. I like that the ingredients are items that you already have in your pantry. I did add about a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and cut back on the sugar to just 3/4 cup. I may cut back to 1/2 cup next time because the finished bread was plenty sweet. I've also used 1/2 wheat flour and 1/2 white and added 1/2 cup choc chips and 1/2 cup nuts. Will definitely be using this recipe again and again. Thank you!

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
Excellent recipe! My first attempt at making biscotti. They came out perfect. I followed the recipe exactly except for the nuts. I used almonds instead of pistaschios. (Couldn't find shelled pistaschios). You can't go wrong with this one. Thank you!

Grilled Sea Bass

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
Excellent Recipe. So easy to make. We didn't feel like starting up the grill, so I used my grill pan on the stove. I also didn't have any lemon pepper on hand, so I just used pepper and squeezed some lemon on at the end. Great flavor and the fish had a nice crust on the outside and was flaky and moist inside. Will be using this recipe over and over. Thank you!
