About this Cook
Hello, I am Monica Ordoukhanian, and I am married to Eric. And we are passionate about cooking. We often try new recipes and are always looking to learn more. I find experimenting with different types of foods keeps cooking interesting. Sometime I will spend days trying to perfect a recipe. And I am quite excited about this website. I am always learning new things. And willing to teach others what I have learned. I have been cooking since I was only 6. I would spend hours reading cook books, and all my friends would make fun of me but I did not care. I was amazed at all you could do in the culinary world, at 6 most kids are making mud pies, I was making apple pies. I have always had the attitude why buy it when you can make it better yourself. I don't like restraunts and never did. I walk away wondering if I could make it better.
My favorite things to cook
I love cakes, and cookies, and tarts and pies, and breads, and homemade soups and stews and everything. The sky is the limit.

Pizza Dough III
Very nice dough. I put in my food processor and used fast acting dry yeast and it was a snap to prepare. It have a bread like consistancy and had a great flavor!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs
We really had fun making this recipe. And it was very good. It really kept the chicken moist wrapping it in the bacon. We added cherry tomatoes, and green peppers to our Shish Kabobs, but that marinade was so awesome! We made this on Labor Day, and decided that this was going to be our dish of choice for that holiday every year. Also we served it on a bed of Saffron Rice.
