Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
This pumpkin bread recipe was awesome! I needed to get rid of some of the pumpkin puree I had from thanksgiving so I made some pumpkin bread for my boyfriend and his family. It was delicious and I got so many compliments on the pumpkin bread about how moist, soft and flavorful it was!

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
The flavor was good after adding a few teaspoons of curry and marjoram. It was extremely runny and oily and should be drained multiple times. They should of listed that in the recipe. I guess they felt it was common sense, but it is practical in a recipe to list all the steps involved in making a dish. Overall this dish was very tasty and good. But it does not "hold" together and is very oily so take that in consideration when deciding with dish to prepare it in!

Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
This is the first time my family had turkey loaf and they loved it! I have tried regular meatloaf and half and half loaf (half turkey, half beef). I did add a few things to make it more tasteful. I added 2 tablespoons of sweet baby rays original bbq sauce, 3 tablespoons of organic ketchup and 1 tablespoon of worsterschire sauce and everybody loved it! And that's including 5 SMALL children from 9 months all the way through age 10! Try this recipe it's a great starter recipe for a turkey loaf!!!!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
I've tried a few of the recipes for cheddar garlic biscuits. Mainly to imitate the same biscuits that they make and sell at Red Lobster. This recipe comes the closest to the texture and taste that I have tried so far. Everybody normally loves these biscuits. I did change the garlic powder and garlic onion. Instead of those two ingredients I substituted that with minced garlic around 3 tablespoons and I did not add salt. For the topping I added a couple tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of old bay seasoning and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. It's a great recipe and I would recommend this to other cooks as well.

Love it! Everyone I make this for loves it. It's easy to make and tastes great. I always add a lil bit more of seasoning to the chicken for taste but overall is a great basic recipe.

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Very good frosting. I made cupcakes and a personal small cake for my daughters 1st birthday. I made everything from scratch and choosing this recipe for the frosting was a great choice. Had a lot of compliments on the flavor and taste.
