Creamed Peas

Except for the sugar, I followed the recipe exactly. I didn't like the idea of sugar, so I cut that out completely. It is too peppery the way it is written, I think 1/2 of what it calls for would be plenty! Otherwise, it was really tasty. I will make it again without so much pepper. Yum!

Blueberry Crumb Bars

YUMMY! I made this today. I used frozen blueberries and cooked it the same amount of time called for in the recipe. I used butter, 1/2 whole wheat flour, 1/2 brown sugar and added 1 tsp of almond extract to the dough part. Even my picky husband who isn't fond of blueberries agreed it was "really good".

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Everyone that tries it loves it. Even people that don't like regular poppers. If you don't want it as spicy, you can use green chilis, if you want it spicier, you can use more jalepeno.

African Curry

I thought this tasted really good. It was very silky and creamy. It was not very spicy, which I thought was perfect, but if you like hot curry, you would need to add heat. Since there has been so much discussion on the curry, I looked up a traditional recipe for African curry and used that. Here is the African Curry powder recipe: 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 tablespoon ground turmeric 1½ teaspoons ground ginger 1½ teaspoons ground allspice 1½ teaspoons garlic powder ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon chili powder
