Christmas Red and Green Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
I love this recipe! I first made it for Christmas, but it's so good I make it all the time now. The only thing I do different is to use frozen veggies rather than canned. Better flavour in my opinion!

Navy Bean Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
LOVE this soup! My family has made it for years. We do it just a bit different...we flavour the broth with a handful of black peppercorns, and when it's all done cooking we add half a bottle of ketchup. I was VERY hesitant to try it when my cousin made it for me for the first time, but I was blown away. How could such simple ingredients taste so good?!!? Very warm, filling, and comforting!

Norwegian Lefse

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
My grandmother used to make Lefse for the entire family each Christmas. When she passed away a couple of years ago, her special holiday recipe was lost. Now that we have found this recipe (which is so close to her's!), my cousin and I are able to keep on her with Holiday tradition and maintain her memory. Thanks so much for the recipe and many years of memories to come!

Mmmmmmm! I have made this every Christmas and Thanksgiving for the past three years. So delicious, moist, and flavorful!

Beezie's Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
This recipe was terrible! Cooking time is way off, flavour is lacking in originality. This soup is nothing more than watery vegetarian chilli. Definitly will not do again.

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Mushy and weird, and flavour was off. Will not make again!

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
Love it! No more last minute stress about getting the gravy perfect before the potatoes and roast get cold! Gravy can be made ahead and clean up finished so you have time to enjoy your guests when you are cooking up a big meal. Only thing I altered was to cut back on the butter. Made it too creamy tasting IMO. Other than that it's perfect and the only gravy I will make from now on!

Blue Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
I used mixed field berries in place of straight blueberries and I love this sauce! I make it every year, and it's such a nice change from traditional cranberry sauce (which I don't like anyways!). Leftover are perfect in muffins.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
Wow, so good! I actually used chick peas instead of chicken, so I did not find it too soupy at all. Will definitly make again!

German Rouladen

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Oh wow! Just like when I was a kid (or dare I say maybe even better?) Only change was to thicken the sauce with flour, add a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce, and a few spoons of sour cream. Thanks for this recipe!

Grilled Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
After reading many people's reviews, I chose this recipe because I was looking for a very mild buffalo wing for my kids. I omitted the cayenne, and kept the rest of the recipe the same. It still turned out to have some heat...too much for my kids, but perfect for me! A good recipe for those of us who can't stomach a five alarm wing! The cooking method was a bit intensive, but the wings sure turned out good!

Honey Lime Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
So good! Such a different take on the usual buffalo or honey/garlic wing. Smelled amazing! First I doubled the sauce, then boiled the wings in the sauce. Onto the bbq for a final crisp up, just watch closely so the honey doesn't burn. Will definitely make again!
