Candy Corn Bark

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I could not find the Halloween oreo's and we are not a big fan of raisins or pretzels in other food so I excluded those items. Since I couldn't find the Halloween Oreo's I colored the white chocolate orange with food coloring. I practically had to hid the finished product from the daughter to prevent her from eating too much and ruining her appetite for dinner. This is easy to make and easy to tweak.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This was so delicious and easy to make. I made this as breakfast for dinner because my kids were begging for french toast. I have made other french toast casseroles but had not found the one dish to stick with. This casserole I will be sticking with. My daughter who doesn't like cinnamon loved it and asked for leftovers for breakfast. Even though it says this serves 6 we are a family of three and only had 1 serving leftover. My 17 year old son took about 3 servings. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Turkey Wild Rice Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
This was wonderful. It was great to use the leftover Turkey meat from Thanksgiving. I used Chicken Stock instead of Turkey Stock as I was all out of Turkey Stock and was not in the mood for making more. Other than that followed the recipes exactly and it came out delicious.

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
Loved this and easy to make. To cut the fat content I used canola margarine and used low sodium chicken broth to reduce the sodium. Will definately make again.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
I am always looking for easy slow cooker recipes since I am a single mom of two working full time slow cooking allows me to make dinner faster. This was excellent. The pork was juicy and fell right apart. I prepped everything in the morning put my crock pot bowl in the fridge then had my 15 year old son put the bowl in the crock pot about 4 hours before I would get home from work. The presto it was done right on time for dinner. Will definately make again and again.

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
Not sure why everyone is raving about these meatballs. I found them to be very dry and tasteless. There is way too much bread crumbs. They have the potential to be good meatballs with some tweaking.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
Superb. The best homemade mac and cheese. Huge hit hit the kids. I excluded the parmesan cheese, mustard, and pepper and it still came out great. It didn't stir for 30 minutes as other raters did, although I did stir for 10 minutes which is longer than the recipe said. Left overs heat up excellent without the cheese getting clumpy. Excellent for school lunches. Will definately make again. Update: When I made the second time I found that heating the broth mixture for five minutes in the microwave reduced the amount of time needed for stirring to five minutes. Also, if you stir too long before adding the cheese then it comes out too clumpy.

Cornbread that is a Meal

Easy to make and tastes great. Kids like it. I found that I had to bake it for 50 minutes instead of 20-25 minutes.

Broccoli and Rice Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
I make this very frequently. It is easy and fast. I have added other vegetables like peas and snap peas which went great with this recipe. My kids won't try it so there are generally leftovers which don't last more than one day, it heats up in the microwave great. Is excellent for lunch at work.

This was great, just a little too hot for our tastes. It tasted just like the seasoning you buy in the grocery store.

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2002
Instead of using raw onions as a topping I added it with the salt and pepper. My son, who in our house is the pickest eater on the face of the earth, ate an entire serving with out one complaint.
