Gingerbread Waffles with Hot Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Very yummy... They were heavier than regular waffles, but quite tasty. My husband and my 13 month old twins loved them! They were a delightful meal for Christmas Eve! I think they might become a tradition in our family. Just one remark on making the chocolate sauce (maybe many ppl already know and did something like this)... It is important to blend the cornstarch in with some cold water or milk BEFORE mixing it into the boiling water. Otherwise it will clump up BIG TIME! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Superbowl Sausage Snacks

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
My mom made little party appetizers just like these when I was a kid! This recipe is just as good as I remember them! Not the healthiest thing, but it's nice to indulge once a year for the Super Bowl. :-)

Whole White Wheat and Honey Chocolate Chip Cookies

I need to try these again b/c my first try didn't seem to turn out right. They are tasty and cakey like some of the other reviewers have said, but something still seems off.

I get rave reviews whenever I make these... normally at Christmas time b/c of their festive green and red color, but these would be great any time of year. :-)

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
This turned out very well and was a perfect way to use up leftover ham and the ham bone from Christmas. I used a 15-bean mixture instead of just Great Northern Bean, and I did as some of the others and simply put everything in the crockpot for ~8 hours. Yum! And it was enough to freeze about half for later. :-)

Easiest Spicy Cod

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
This was a truely simple, yet delicious dish. My husband and I have committed in 2010 to eat out less and eat healthier, but we don't want to sacrifice taste or enjoyment.... This recipe is just what "the doctor ordered!" :-) We used frozen cod, so modifed the cooking time slightly (to match the directions on the package), and it came out perfectly. Very tasty!

Mmmmmmm!!! Very easy too. :-) I put in more raisins than the recipe called for--only added to the sweetness.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2002
I will definitely be making this again!! Very easy and very tasty. Some other recipes call for stew beef, but don't give in--follow this recipe and use sirloin, it is worth it. Like some others, I modifed and made this in my slow-cooker. Really, really simple! However, I think you can use less water when making it this way.

Four Spice Crackles

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2000
I think this cookie will become a Christmas favorite in my family--One to be made year after year. The whole house smelled like Christmas as they baked. :-) Not interesting to the kids though b/c lacking Christmas sprinkles.
