Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
The sesame oil is way too much. It leaves an aftertaste in your mouth for hours. Cut it in half.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
I followed the instructions to a T and I bake a lot so I'm not a novice. The vanilla pudding gave this an artificial processed taste. I like Ina Garten's recipe. The basis for the cookie part of a ccc is brown sugar, NOT vanilla and ESPECIALLY not artificially flavored vanilla pudding! What was I thinking?! The cookies themselves looked nice and the texture was okay. Also, I could have cut the butter in half and they would have been fine.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
Delicious! I read that many people had flat cookies so instead of baking soda and cream of tartar I simply used 3 teaspoons of baking powder then I refrigerated them for 10 minutes before sticking them in the oven. They came out very just right.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
My only change: I replaced 1/2 cup of white sugar with 1/2 cup of brown sugar. One thing I would have done different to add a little more flavor is to roll the cookies in white sugar and a tablespoon of cinnamon. This may not be as Sandie-like but it would probably bring out the flavor of the pecans a bit. Otherwise a very good tea cookie.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
This was good but a little bland. I would recommend brushing with lime sauce before removing from grill.

Whole Wheat Bread II

I followed the recipe exactly. It came out perfect and tasted so much fresher than store bought loaves. I had a slice with peanut butter this morning. Delicious. Thanks!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I made this with lowfat milk to make it healthier and the sauce was very watery and not creamy at all. Next time I will use either whole milk or light cream and see how it goes.

Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Delicious and super fast. I only used half of the egg/milk mixture and added a teaspoon of vanilla and a teaspoon of cinnamon. I also sprinkled the top with brown sugar. I just had a piece with my coffee and it was perfect.

Crispy Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
Now I understand why you need the pasty consistency. That is how the crispy crust is created. This was the best fried chicken I have ever made.

Premium Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
I just made this and it was a little difficult to work with at first but after adding a little more flour it was much easier. I made a pizza and had a little dough left over and used it to make a calzone. I brushed it with olive oil and sprinkled it with parmesan. It came out better than the pizza! Great crust. Thanks
