Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

I make this cake using Devil's food cake mix(Duncan Hines), devil's food instant pudding(3.9 oz), 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup water and oil, no sugar, and Pam and cocoa not flour for the bundt pan. I don't dust the cake. VERY rich, but my friends are adicts. I'm very popular around Christmas!!

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Loved it - reviews are terrific with additions to customize soup. I sauteed carrots, garlic and onions first, added tomatoes and stock. When all was softened, I ran through blender - no seeds or skins left! Made roux as directed and added heavy cream. 1t. sugar, 1t. cloves, 1T balsamic vinegar. Served with crumpled bacon on top. So much fun to play with - basic recipe is great for freezing, when thawing pay around with different additives. Think I'll add dollop of sour cream, when serving from frozen stash. Thanks to all reviewers for ideas and for Charlotte's terrific basic soup (and for sharing, everyone!). If you think you've added too much of any spice, just add more tomatoes. Great fun to taste and add whatever's missing. Some day I'm going to read every single one of these reviews!

Baked Potato Soup I

Read all reviews. Made roux w/ 1/2 of butter and recipe amount of flour. Browned roux (dark gold color). Sauteed 1/2 yellow onion and 2 cloves of garlic in other half of butter. Added to roux and blended well. Blended in chicken stock(1/2 of liquid called for) and cooked half of potatoes. Other potatoes in oven. Didn't mash any potatoes. Added milk per recipe. Soup tasted great - no flour taste, but very thick. Next time, I'll bake all potatoes and, if too thick, just add chicken stock to desired thickness. All other ingredients in recipe added as written. Sorry to change recipe - prefer to prepare as recipe says, but so much info that I made changes. I think the secret is in the roux. Didn't use bacon grease. Might tweak for fun, but original recipe is wonderful.
