Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
I don't eat beef so I am judging this purely on the reactions of my family and friends. "Outstanding" is the reaction I received on this very easy dish. I was nervous since it was my first attempt at preparing a pot roast- but it turned out perfect. I placed potatoes, baby carrots, and sliced onion on the bottom of cooker, poured about 1/3 of sauce mixture over veggies before placing the roast on top. Added sliced garlic to the beef and then poured remaining sauce mixture over beef. I also used beef broth instead of the water. Cooked on high for 6 hrs. and the meat was done to perfection(so I was told). If I need to make a pot roast in the future I will stick to this simple recipe.

Butter Crescents

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2003
Although my dough didn't rise (not sure why)these tasted great! They had more of a bagel consistancy but my husband and I still enjoyed them. I would definately make these again.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2003
Enjoyed this so much I wish I had more. I didn't use the bell pepper since I didn't have any but thought the recipe was great w/out it. This was my first attempt at grilling Portobello mushrooms and now it will always be part of our barbeque dinners. My neighbor who joined us for dinner also loved it. Unfortunately our husbands aren't mushroom lovers and wouldn't try it- well more for us!!

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2003
This was soooo good! I don't eat red meat so I made 1lb with ground turkey and chicken broth, and the other 1lb of ground beef for my husband. My husband really loved this meal and kept saying how good it was which is not usual for him since he is very picky. Looking forward to enjoying the left overs. This is a keeper!

Spinach Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
This recipe was fabulous!!! I had a get together with my girlfriends and thought I would make a quiche to munch on. Everyone loved it, I even had to give out the recipe. I will definately be adding this recipe to my box - I have a bridal shower coming up and will make it for that occasion as well.

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
Enjoyed the recipe very much. My mother-in-law and I even had the leftovers for lunch the next day and enjoyed it even more. It did take a lot longer than listed to make sure the chicken was cooked though.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2002
These sugar cookies are sooooo good! I tell myself I will only eat one and end up eating a few more. They were very easy to make and the dough rolled out perfectly. I did have to keep the dough in the fridge more than an hour though.

Easy Mashed Potato and Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2002
These enchiladas were absolutely delicious!! I will definately make them again. I took some left-overs to work the next day and a co-worker tried it and loved them as well. I can't wait to share this recipe with my mother who is a vegetarian.

Pan Seared Salmon I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2002
This dish is wonderful! It is so quick and easy and full of flavor. The only thing I would do different is wait a little longer to add the capers because they got a bit too over-cooked.
