Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Couldn't be any easier! I like to put them on the grill for a few minutes before serving. Collect the cooking juices and barbecue sauce from the foil and heat to thicken and serve with the ribs.

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
My husband loves, loves, loves red cabbage. In an effort to get away from store bought jar type foods, I made this up for him. It was a hit for sure and makes a lot more than feeding just four people - it lasts in the refrigerator for at least a week.

Give Me Seconds Oyster Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
This is basically my scalloped oyster dressing that I have been making for 40 years or more. My only change is to add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the cream before pouring it over the oysters. Not everyone likes them but that's alright with my son and law and myself - all the more for us.

Chef John's Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
After trying too many recipes to count over a lifetime of cooking, my family and I has pronounced these the best! True Italian favor and they hold up well in my sauce.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
This was the first time I had tried the low/slow cooking method for a rib roast. It was wonderful! Everyone at the Christmas dinner table enjoyed. It will become my go to recipe for this favorite meal!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
Just the best and simplest of recipes. I could barely get the lid on my crockpot but oh, it was so worth the wait! We feasted on this wonderful stuff for a meal and several lunches. Thank you!

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
This is my hubby's favorite way to eat squash and I have been making this recipe for years. For anyone who says they don't eat summer squash or zucchini, give them a helping of this stuff and you'll change their minds. Just had my leftovers for lunch. Yum! Thanks.

Marcia's Famous Sticky Buns

I made these for breakfast one moring when my daughter and children were visiting and I have to say these are "finger licking good". Would give them ten stars if I could. Takes a little work but well worth it. Thanks.

Spanish Flan

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
I have never made a flan before trying this one and baking is really not my strong point but I loved the flavor and texture of this one. I did struggle a bit trying to get it out of the pan even with trying all the suggested tips. Other than that, the recipe is easy and makes a nice presentation. Thanks.

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
Oh my, these are good! I prefer bay scallops and often add small to medium shrimp to the dish - I have never been dissapointed. I also generally use half and half to save a few calories. A nice salad with a light dressing on the side usually makes the guilt go away. Thanks for the recipe.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
I have made these twice this summer - both times everyone devoured them and I never got my chance to try one (the woes of the hostess). So my rating is simply on my guests say so - they're yummy! Thanks Robbie.

Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
This will become a favorite way to use up zucchini for my family, however I think the measurements are a bit off. I used 1 zucchini (about 10" long, cut in half) and it was plenty for hubby and myself. Realizing that, I cut back on the entire recipe for my household. We will make again and again this summer. Thanks.

Spinach Dip I

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
This is worth 10 stars! I made this for a boating cocktail cruise with friends here on our river. Everyone devoured the stuff - I thought one friend was going to eat it with a spoon. The only change I made was to add about 1/4 cup of tomato/herb crumbled feta because I wanted to use it up. Believe me, it was fantastic! Wonderful recipe, thanks.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
The story that goes with my trying to make this is a classic "oops". When I decided to make this one evening, I got into the whole process before I realized I had only about a 1/2 cup of flour left in the pantry. Believe it or not, I subbed with half panko to bread the cube steaks, saving the meal and no one was the wiser. Just goes to show that a good recipe will come out okay with a little kitchen knowledge and some ingenuity. Thanks for the nice recipe.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
How can anything this simple be so good? Served it for a family meal with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, even the kids came back for seconds on the meat. This will be my new "go to" recipe for roast beef from now on. Thanks!

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
First time trying these babies and I have to say they were yummy! A bit too wet for a regular roll but then maybe I overdid the marinade. Hubby wouldn't touch them (says he won't eat mushrooms) but everyone else, including the teenage grandchildren loved them. Will definitely make again and experiment with different cheeses and other toppings. Thanks for the post.

Mimi's Zucchini Pie

This was fantastice! I made per recipe and hubby and I ate half for dinner - lots of yums from him. Just finished a piece for my lunch and froze the last big slice to see how it will taste after it's been frozen. Nice recipe!

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
This blend is spectacular! I didn't change a thing. I had never made fajitas before but my new daughter-in-law is Brazilian and loves them, so of course, I had to give this a try. I used 4 pounds of skirt steaks, marinated for about 30 hours and grilled to perfection. They were so tender and delicious. Thanks, Robbie for a great recipe.
