Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
I made this for a family picnic, it was a huge hit! I did double the sauce as I was reheating it in the crock pot the day of the picnic. Thanks, Tequila

Green Chili and Cheese Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
Yes, yes, yes!! My husband will not eat chicken but he loved this dish. I didn't change anything except I used chicken filets instead of the whole breasts - modified the baking time and what a great and tasy dish. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Aunt Ro's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
What a great recipe! I totally didn't follow the recipe ingredients because I had a lot of various beans in the pantry and wanted to use them up. I also had an coil of smoked sausage that needed a place to call home. They all blended well together and the sauce as written was just fantastic. My only negative comment would be that the serving size is way off. I cut the recipe in half ans still had 6 servings.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
This was really good. I served it as a side to Aunt Ro's beans from this site and it was just what the meal needed to keep it crisp and fresh tasting.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
My husband dislike anything chicken BUT, he loved this recipe, so it's a keeper. I use a good BBQ sauce and a bit of liquid smoke - keep watch on it so the sauce doesn't burn.

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
This was very good and I felt good eating such healthy soup. I will probably make again and play with the ingredients a bit to make it a 5 star.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
These ribs were fall off the bone and so flavorful that my hubby said, these were the best ever. I only had 2# of baby back ribs so I cut the recipe for the sauce in half. My only change was to reverse the amount of ketchup with chili. I cooked all day on low and they were so good!

Lamb and Rice Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
Could if I could give this recipe a full 10 stars! It was just the best stuffed cabbage rolls we have eaten - my only change was to use diced tomatoes instead of sauce. I have it on the menu now for a once a month rotation. Thanks for the great recipe, Chef John.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
This recipe is very similar to the one I grew up with and have been trying to replicate for many years. My husband couldn't stop making yummy noises while he ate it. Would give it 10 stars if I could. Because we love onion, I did alter the recipe slightly by adding more onion - either way, it's a winner!

Easy Baked Ham Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
This recipe is just the ticket for a quick weeknight meal. I also used ground cloves and covered the ham slice while it baked. Served with Mom's Favorite Baked Mac & Cheese from this site and steamed broccoli. Will certainly make this again.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
I made up this dip and said "holy cow, how am I going to use up this much dip?". so after serving a small bowl of it to guests I decided to use the rest as the cheese filling in my regular lasagna recipe. It was out of this world - everyone loved it!

Funco's Salmon Fish Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
These were very good. I used canned salmon as it's what I had. I'm sure if I had followed the recipe exactly and used fresh fish it would have rated a five, so that's what I gave it. Thanks for an easy and yummy recipe.

Hearty Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
I followed this recipe exactly but substituted kielbasa for the sausage. I did simmer the lentils fro about 30 minutes in chicken broth before combining everything in the crock pot. It got rave reviews from everyone. I just had a bowl of leftover soup for lunch and it is even better the next day. Great recipe for a hearty soup!

Grilled Onions

All I can say is WONDERFUL! I never cared for the baked onions that my husband liked (no real flavor) but these babies are just like eating a bowl of yummy French onion soup. Will be making these many times.

Salmon Loaf

As others, I added a bit of chopped celery and onion for a bit of crunch. This works for either a loaf or in patty form. Easy and good!

This was The BEST pulled pork recipe I have tried from AR. My only deviation from the original recipe was to use the crock pot and add some liquid smoke. Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!
