Garden Fresh Tomato Soup
The recipe needs correcting! The written recipe calls for ' 1 slice onion'. So I cut ONE SLICE OF AN ONION. The soup was delicious. However, when I watched the video later, I realized the directions were meant to read '1 SLICED onion'. What a difference one letter can make. :) It's a keeper recipe for certain, and has been very much enjoyed by my family and friends. Easy peasy to make with great results. Thank you! (but please add the 'd' to the word slice.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies
Followed the recipe exactly. They are more 'cake' than cookie, but absolutely delicious! Easy-peasy to make, aroma is to die for, made the glaze first. Recipe gave me 5 doz. (made with medium ice cream scoop). I've applied the glaze three times--letting dry between coats. Leaving some unglazed for husband...good either way. Cream cheese frosting might be nice too.

French Canadian Tourtiere
This was pretty close to my Memere's recipe....however, she never put so many different herbs in hers. Equal amounts of beef and pork, diced onion, Bell's Poultry Seasoning, salt & pepper and 4-5 slices of fresh white bread, shredded finely.....helps to bind the meat and absorb some liquid. Then the mixture was stuffed into the turkey, where the turkey juices would flavor it all the more. We weren't offerend seconds, so there'd be enough leftover for the pie!
