Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

I had never roasted a chicken before and found this recipe. When I saw the ingredients I almost skipped it, but the number of reviews and stars made me take a closer look and after reading all the rave reviews I decided to give it a shot. I didn't have the 24 hours to let it marinate so mine only sat for about 3-5 hours. Also I hurrried through the instructions and mixed the crushed garlic with the seasonings, lol. I was a bit worried... Boy was it delicious! I read some of the other reviews said that they didn't like the taste, I think the crushed garlic mixed in with the seasonings could make a difference. I don't know but I love the way mine turned out and I will keep making it that way :D Next time around I might double the seasonings and see what happens

Szechwan Shrimp

Great Recipe, I tripled the sauce and used 1 lb. raw shrimp and I used Sesame seed oil as one reviewer suggested. I also added a bag of Asian style frozen veggies and a small can of water chestnuts. I thought it was a bit spicy for my taste so I will tone down the red pepper next time. I served over brown rice ( I used the microwaveable frozen bag) instead of white rice. I also topped it with sesame seeds at the end. Very good! Sure beats paying for take out!

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

This dish is Amazing! My family loved it! My daughter even said 'it tasted like a restaurant'. However, I also had to more than triple the ingredients for the sauce. I also used parsley AND basil, and about 2-3 TBSP. of fresh squeezed lemon juice. Even then it wasn't enough sauce so next time I will have to double the sauce. We really like shrimp too so I used more than 1 lb. This a new favorite,I will definitely make this again.

Sesame Green Beans
