About this Cook
I started out helping my mom cook for my 8 other brother's & sister's. The Holiday's brought even more family. I have helped cook for a family of 12 & more. So my cooking was bland.
My favorite things to cook
I love salads. Pasta, 7 layer, chicken, ham, anything you have, I can make into a salad!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
WE love lasgna, tacos, meatloaf, and everything else made with beef. However, we have started making all of our favorite foods with ground turkey. We started doing this 2 years ago, when my husband was diagnoised with high cholestreol.(spelling?) Now the only beef we eat is a steak once in a great while. Maybe 2/3 times a year.
My cooking triumphs
As for my triumphs, probably only 2. Mostly by accident, and I am still learning.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedies, are very many. Too numerous to count. I have to admit that my Husband, is a 1000 times better in the kitchen than I am. I have learned a gret deal from him, & from my best friend, who is a certified chef.

Marinated Pork Roast
This is a great recipe!! I didn't have any mustard seed, so I used 1tsp of ground mustard instead. Because we love garlic, I used 4 cloves to kick up a notch, and it tasted great. Even the kids asked the seconds!!! Thanks!!!!

Bechamel Sauce
This is a great sauce! I put it over angel hair pasta with tiny shrimp and my boyfriend loved it. We will definately make this again.

Grandma's Sloppy Joes
While I liked ths recipe, I thought there was too much clove. I only put in a 1/4 tsp. like other readers did, but next time I'll put in an 1/8. I also added some petite diced tomatoes, with the juice drained.
