Fantastic cookies. I've never made ginger snaps before but these were easy. Added extra cinnamon, grated fresh ginger, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Will try cardamom/black pepper next time but these are wonderful as written.

Marinade for Steak I

Had never marinated anything before. Made this for valentines day dinner with some steaks which are a rare treat for us. Got the pan sizzling hot and threw them in there after marinating for half the day. SO GOOD omg

Easy Pizza Sauce I

My go to pizza sauce. Easy and great. Really blends and mellows when it sits for a while. Don't be afraid of lots of herbs/garlic, and I also add a pinch of sugar which really balances the flavor

Roasted Chickpeas

Didn't use oil, only dry roasted. Used curry, cumin, cayenne and garlic powder. Great idea, wouldn't have thought of it without this recipe. Healthy and tasty snack my buddy and I had with a beer instead of the usual nuts. Thanks

White Bean Chicken Chili

Very delicious! The boyfriend loved it :) I made a roux and added it to the prepared stew towards the end of cooking which thickened it up nicely. Also added diced red pepper, which was a good addition. Thanks!

Barley, Lentil and Mushroom Soup

Very good. Made it basically to the t except added a bit of frozen spinach and used less mushrooms because I didn't have that much. I also omitted the sherry because I didn't have it, and added the ever-crucial garlic. I also threw in a diced red skin potato to beef up the soup a bit. Quite tasty. The boyfriend went for seconds!

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Not bad, tasted great but a bit too thick/paste like. I think that might just be a result of slow cooking, but maybe a lack of liquid.

Lemon Yogurt Muffins

These rule. The glaze is a nice addition even though I avoided doing it the first time because it seemed like a hassle. Boyfriend asked me to add choc chips, which are amazing in this. Have also made these without lemon, and they're pretty good with vanilla. This is a such an easy muffin recipe and always comes out great

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

This muffin recipe was not very good. I read that many felt it was bland, so i added extra cinammon and even a little ginger. It was still so bland when it came out, though the texture was good. Probably won't make this again
